Democratic Club meets Saturday Sept. 25
 

The Villages Democrats of Sumter County will be meeting this Saturday, September 25, at 9:30 a.m. at the O'Dell Rec Center.

The September meeting is all about the Amendments you’ll be voting on this year.

If you are relatively new to Florida, you haven’t had to deal with all the amendments proposed to Florida’s Constitution. Many people have no idea what the amendments mean, what the consequences would be or why they are on the ballot.

Joanne Coen, representing The League of Women Voters, will present an unbiased view of each amendment and answer any questions you may have. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn the details so you can vote intelligently.

The Villages Democrats of Lake County will join us for this meeting.

Jim Piccillo, the Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives and Eunice Garbutt, the Democratic candidate for the Florida Senate will also attend.

Remember to bring items (or money) for the Sumter County food shelves.

but I did not note the location. Do you know of one.

Really??!! You can't let TV Democrats club make an announcement without a sarcastic response? I think some people have forgotten what was taught in kindergarten... "can't say something nice... how about not saying anything." How about some civility?

Having so few posts, I am going to assume that you are new to TOTV. Welcome.
You must understand Furmar. He is always here, but occasionally comes in with a post. His sense of humor is always exposed in these posts. I have never interperted that his posts were in any way personal attacks on the poster or the subject. So, stick around and you to will come to enjoy his little bits of wisdom.

I LOVE Fumar....his sense of humor is refreshing. We all take ourselves way too seriously, whether you are Democrat or Republican....the reality is, we just want to live and enjoy our lives. Whatever is left for our beneficiaries is a bonus, but heck, I had to make it on my own....................let's just enjoy our lives!!!

when did they get a third?

i doubt only spending one meeting on this would do you guys any good. I would think it would require several meetings to get this clarified.will refreshments be served.

This is an old thread - please look at the first post - original date is 2010. Perhaps the administrators could close this thread. I've started a new one referencing the August 2011 meeting. Thanks!
