Casino in the villages

Does anyone know how this "casino" works? Not sure what the story is on this place. It's located by the Lowe's on 441.

Took a ride to Bushnell last week and those places were everywhere down there in the county seat, there's even one in Coleman, a community with a population of a little over 800.

Nucky 08-07-2021 05:02 PM

It's no big deal. Neighbor goes there when he's lonely. The loneliness usually doesn't last long.

If you want to gamble a little try The Hard Rock in Tampa. They let you win a little before they take it all back plus some. LOL I know it's not in The Villages but I was trying to give you a decent place.

The place on 301 which I don't remember the name of wasn't too good.

I have driven up there and couldn’t find the place.

Each county decides whether to allow these so-called on gambling places and whether the police and the prosecutor will keep them open or not. Laws have been passed. But I think it's more of an effort to shut them down then it's worth. Morally is it that much different than bingo mahjong or home card games?

Professor 08-08-2021 06:01 AM

Save yourself the effort and just throw the money out your window as you drive around...or better yet, give it to a legitimate charity to do some good...

daca55 08-08-2021 07:29 AM

Where is this slot parlor?

nick demis 08-08-2021 07:31 AM

Looks like lots of anti casino people in the villages. Guess I shouldn't let them know that we are going to Vegas.

It is called "Fish Games Internet Cafe" and it is on the east side of 441 just north of the Wawa Gas station, between Great Lakes Carpet Tile and the United Southern Bank. It is near the corner of 441 and Buenos Aires Blvd, across the street from Walgreens. Hopefully you can now find it if you really want to go.

Lottoguy 08-08-2021 08:52 AM

It's just past the Lowe's on 441 on the right side of the road as your heading towards Ocala. Just south of the Aldi's.

Lottoguy 08-08-2021 08:54 AM

On 441 between Lowe's and Aldi's on the right side headed towards Ocala.

Mortal1 08-08-2021 08:56 AM

It is not in the villages.

I didn’t know the developers or districts owned business down 441? I thought the was privately owned in Ladylake or Summerfield? :duck:

Mrprez 08-08-2021 09:14 AM

I’ll ask since no one has so far. Can I get there in a golf cart?😂

virtue51 08-08-2021 09:19 AM

Go to the website to Oxford Downs in Oxford, FL

Luggage 08-08-2021 10:47 AM

It's funny how so many people know exactly where it is. But as a reference there is some also one 441, route 27, etc etc etc these are all small places with video slot games.

There's three with in a quarter mile.

Fish Games right on 441 between Cracker Barrel and Wawa.

Coconuts is in the plaza behind the Atlantis car wash by Bealle's and Taki's Greek restaurant.

Then there's a new one slightly north in the old furniture store it's before you get to Aldi heading north on 441.

Not hard to find just look for the people looking for an ATM

Stu from NYC 08-08-2021 11:52 AM

What a great thread.

Always wondered what fish games was.

So we can play black jack against a fish. How great is that.

LianneMigiano 08-08-2021 12:41 PM

The one across from Denny's has been there for almost 10 years! The new one is where the large, old furniture store (that closed a while back) formerly stood.

MareL 08-08-2021 03:22 PM

There is another small Casino with slot machines on Rt 44 called SPIN TO WIN between Morse Blvd and Brownwood. :a040:

when that place 1st opened, it looked like a quik mart/gas station, now the sign is out there plain to see

vinnyfla 08-08-2021 06:09 PM

I would say it's only video slots

rickgstone@hotmail.com 08-08-2021 06:32 PM

Yeah, they keep 50% for the house and sprinkle the other 50%. I should know because I use to own them! Best tip! A fool and his money shall soon be departed. Hope that helps someone!

OrangeBlossomBaby 08-08-2021 06:54 PM

There are a couple of Fish Games parlors in that location. The newest one was a furniture store a few months ago, but that went out of business and was replaced by the "casino."

These are not casinos. They're more like video game arcades that pay out money instead of trading tickets in for stuffed animals (which is how some normal video arcades work).

There's another one in the little strip-plaza near Takis and Firehouse Subs. There's a third one on the way back from that spot toward the Boone Gate, same side of the street just past Wawa.

They're not really like that, no. It's a video arcade game, you use a joystick to plink out fish as they swim across the screen. Different types/sizes/colors of fish have different point values, and your final score determines the payout.

Fish? Fish? I don't see no stinkin' fish!

fish games lady lake fl - Google Search

Lottoguy 08-09-2021 08:26 AM

Yes, you can get there by golf cart. Go over the bridge on 441. Then follow the trail towards Lowe's. Just keep going north and turn left into their parking lot.

Lottoguy 08-09-2021 08:27 AM

The way I see it. If you can get there legally by golf cart (you can) then its in The Villages.

So if you beat the fish you can not fry them? Guess I will pass.

That's not really true. In order to get to that area and to Lowe's & Cracker Barrel, you actually have to go OUT of The Villages historical area through a special gate. That gate requires the use of the gate card to get into or out of. All of the businesses beyond the gate do not pay rent or any fees to The Villages, so technically, they are NOT "in" The Villages.

Not necessarily. I don't think Lowe's, Aldi or Walmart on 441 is TV property but there is a (no longer) secret path to get there through some private property that has been opened to golf carts with owners approval. It is legal but took some fighting to allow it. Still can't get to Fish Games though even though you pass not too far below it on the (no longer) secret path.
