Golf cart seat belt
Wondering if they make a "stalk" type seat belt receiver for golf carts. It currently requires 2 hands and it would be nice if the receiver was rigid so putting on the belt could be done one handed.
That said, would there be a disadvantage to having a rigid stalk belt receiver? This is a 2 passenger cart. |
Our seat belts have a snap on plastic covering on the short piece of webbing (receiver side) that stabilizes this, I think this is what you are looking for. These were installed by Village Discount Golf carts (441 just North of 42), you might be able to get these there.

Something like that would be fine. Do you have a picture?

I sometimes have to pull over and re-buckle my buckle when I'm on long trips, even if it's for something minor like going over a particularly big bump in the pavement. I wish my cart came with the type that only locks up if the vehicle comes to an abrupt stop (as in - if you have to slam on the brakes, or if you actually hit something). |

Thanks for doing that. Now I know what to look/ask for.

Ace Hardware had 2 piece clip that attaches to the seatbelt, I'm not sure if they still carry them.

Yes… have had them for several years…use them all the time. They saved both my son and I serious injury when an old guy t-boned us and tipped us almost over. Good investment. Villages Golf Carts installed them while I waited.

One of our carts is a 2015 Club Car Precedent gas with the basket behind the seat. This changes all the connection points. I bought a set of belts and the bar like you showed in your picture as was advertised for my particular cart. It turns out the basket attachment removes all the structure and replaces it with these plastic frame that then attach to the roof. I am handy, so I'm going to have to grind the tabs off the bar, weld them in a different spot at 90 degrees of their original orientation so they can be bolted to the structure. |
