Eastport new construction- where is it?
 

Hi trying to locate the Eastport square under design.

Where is it in relation to Sumter Landing.

There is no construction. Future location will be at CR 470 and Marsh Bend Trail (old CR501).

Is that right next to the Coleman prison?

Coleman Prison is west of CR501. So by that definition, then yes it is “right next to”.

If you go there by golf cart pack a lunch and snacks.

Why? They'll have food there. It'll be even closer to me than Brownwood.

Going there from LSL will take hours by golf cart.

I live in Hawkins and it takes about 50 minutes by golf cart to get to LSL from my house. When the new Bexley bridge is completed, I estimate it will take about 20 minutes from my house to Eastport. I’m guessing it will be about 60 to 65 minutes straight shot from LSL to Eastport.

We will now be 25 minutes from Brownwood and 15 minutes to Eastwood.

It's still CR 501 for everyone except Villagers but, I know what you mean. The State is not gonna rename it just for the Morse's ;)

It's about 11.5 miles south of LSL. It will be South of the village of Monarch Grove.

The road signs say Marsh Bend all the way to CR470.

I thought construction had begun. Possible completion 2022?

rumor has it that they will be using the Coleman prison for the lifestyle preview program when they open up Eastlake. :1rotfl:

I think it is South of the Turnpike.

Hopefully we will have access to the prison amenities!!

The CR is County Road, so it's not the State's decision.

There was a good map in Tuesday's Daily Sun.

Coleman FCC might become a little like Alcatraz.

If the wind was blowing from that direction to the Rock, you could actually hear people laughing, you could hear music, you could hear girls laughing. You know, you could hear all the sounds coming from the free world, at the Rock.

That's for Sawgrass. Bexley bridge and a connection to Monarch Grove is likely next.

They talked about roughly one year for design and 2+ years to construct in the video.

They have started digging retention ponds just south of Monarch Grove.

Sawgrass and the two new plazas on Warm Springs will be great additions to the southern villages, they are digging and placing storm drains at the northern Warm Springs Plaza already today. There are also 3 commercial corners at the intersection of Megisson and Warm Springs that should bring a lot more retail and dining to the south. We can wait for Eastport.

Where did you see the work being done for the Warm springs Plaza?

I looked on a map and I think it will be about 3 miles south of the Sawgrass Grove center snd they said 3 years to completion which may mean 5 years. So maybe 15 miles from Sumter landing? Something like that.

On the parcel where the gas station was announced to be, right at the stop sign on the northeast corner, they are putting in storm drains today.

Not very accessible in that location. They’ve been digging around in that ditch for a week. Must have struck gold.

They are out of the ditch and working within the parcel. They also tore up a good chunk out of 301 a couple weeks ago on the southwest side I would assume either for utility work or for the magnetic timers for a stoplight system. Also the gas station site will not be golf car accessible but that's okay with me.

I saw them doing that work. A traffic light is needed there especially if you are going south on 301. Yeah, I don’t care about the golf cart access.
