Does anyone know what the guidelines are for being treated @ Barnstorm Theater with the monoclonal therapy? Do you have to be tested first somewhere else It looks like you have to make an appointment online. Anyone know the facts? Thanks

Per governor DeSantis direction there is a current standing order in Florida signed by the states surgeon general that allows patients to receive this treatment without a prescription or referral if administered by eligible healthcare provider.

somewhat the same economics to you of a pro-active, ex-ante, though not perfect risk reduction method, an rMNA vaccine, versus the monoclonal antibodies after the fact, post-ante, treatment method, in hopes that one gets the treatment in time.

Walk-ups or online appointments are accepted. According to the people at Barnstorm, the candidates are those with a positive test and those who have been exposed, such as if your spouse has tested positive. No referrals or test results are required. I suspect a lot are breakthrough cases.

Sounds like a fantastic idea, and it may help reduce the hospital patient population. With this kind of thinking, perhaps there will be no use for the portable morgues.

Governor has tried to make things convenient in TV. However since you don’t need any documentation, one can just walk-in or make an appointment for treatment.

Same with 3rd shot you can just go to any facility that has vaccine and say you are immune compromised, no proof needed.

Wonder how many will take advantage, just because no documents are required need it or not.

We decided against going for the third shot right now even though no documentation is needed as we feel possibly we would take it away from someone who actually needs it right now.

You have to have symptoms first!

You would need to either test positive or show proof of having been exposed to someone who has COVID. This is NOT for prophylactic use.

No. You are a candidate for the injections if you have tested positive or you have been exposed. You do not need to show proof of either.

I know f someone who just went in and got the treatment with no verification.

Went to the ER on meggison And 44. You must have a positive test for covid before getting the infusion.

First of all you have to have a Positive COVID test in order to get the Regeneron treatment injections/ IV. If you test positive you can just walk in and ask for treatment BUT it has to be within 10 days of onset or contamination. You cannot get vaccinated afterwards until 90 days have past

The no proof thing is not being honored by Walgreens and CVS pharmacies as they cross examine you and one one occasion someone said they had taken a steroid. They wanted to see the prescription bottle!

Why doesn’t DeSantis push vaccination and masks to prevent COVID?. Oh wait, does he hv an interest in the monoclonal treatment? Donors, stocks, etc? Asking for a friend.

Tell your friend that Florida (under DeSantis) had one of the best rollouts of the vaccinations. Many were vaccinated before summer and the vaccines appear to be readily available now for anyone who wants one.

Many in Florida have chosen not to get the vaccine and a large number of those are getting sick, filling hospital beds, and dying. While the vaccine is the best way to avoid the need for a hospital bed, if your friend finds (his/her)self unvaccinated and sick with Covid then the monoclonal treatment may help.

Florida is still "pushing" vaccines but they are also making monoclonal treatments available for "friends" who knew better than the scientists.

This thread is not about other locations. Brownwood only. Apples and oranges.

With all these positive COVID-19 people coming to Brownwood - maybe a good idea to steer clear of the area ?? I mean they are only there cuz they are sick !!

We couldn’t find anywhere that we could get a Covid test to confirm our suspicions that we were positive which is what we needed to get the monoclonal treatments at Brownwood. We ended up going to UFH across from Brownwood to get the Covid test confirmation and the monoclonal treatment. Going early makes a big difference in a speedier recovery. We had been vaccinated which reduced our symptoms. The weakness in the health system, in my opinion, is the initial Covid testing which is difficult to find.

Brother-in-law had "something" (not sure if Covid, -- tested but results not sent yet -- but exposed to others who did, thus, very likely)....so....he just "showed up" at the Brownwood site, answered their questions, and was treated: 4 injections, 1 hour "wait and see" (any adverse reactions ?) to follow, and then released.That easy.
He's feeling better...

There must be some kind of discrimination going on over there at Brownwood. Some are being turned away due to no test, others walk right in and get the treatment. Weird!

Fortunately all my friends are vaccinated. Desantis’s rollout was so good that Florida’s cases are the highest with so many deaths that there is nowhere to put the bodies. I call that a success.

Go up a couple of responses. One said they needed a test and the one right after said no test required. Which is it?

My guess: Some are going to the clinic at the Brownwood theater and others are going to one of the medical facilities in the Brownwood area.

You know the side effects of this treatment, no? Not fun, really. But worth it IF you’re likely to have Covid.
