Couple shots around Loblolly

Here are a couple of shots while out and walking around 2 days ago.

Get the ball rolling with a couple of flowers.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...0936a7a4_k.jpg

And a couple of trees in silhouette. The overland transmission line (power lines) on Warm Springs went right through this shot. I really wish TV had put them underground so I wouldn't have to edit them out of these. LOL.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...30c061d5_k.jpg

A friendly little girl, about 5 or 6 feet. She posed perfectly still... I didn't have my long lens, so I had to get up close and personal for this shot - maybe 15 feet away?

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...24c828f5_k.jpg

She stared me down until I looked away and then she leaped into the pond and stopped to look back and see if I was following her.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...9fac5a32_k.jpg

Next up are a few birds swimming around ...

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...a1d65437_k.jpg

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4a81c1ff_k.jpg

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...7b7b55ee_k.jpg

And finally, a panorama looking across the course over at Publix on Warm Springs in Magnolia Plaza. This also had the power lines running all the way across... sigh...

Are you using the old app?

Others have reported the same problem. I have heard the new app shows them better.

Sorry. I am not sure what I can do to get them to display. If anyone can see them please let me know.

Yes, I don’t like the new format. I’ll venture there and take peak.

Sorry, maybe the administrators can put in a bug report, but I expect they are not maintaining the older app.

I use an offsite photo-sharing site instead of uploading them here. If I upload I don't think I can put as high a resolution image (big).

Love all the pictures. I need to go walk around that area. That’s my local publix.

Bobcat65 09-16-2021 05:05 AM

Great pics. Came through fine.

Looking good!

Nice pics!
BTW, the Villages doesn't own the power lines. They are owned by the power company, and they are in a right of way.

I know, I was being facetious. I believe it is not cost effective to bury high voltage transmission lines in Florida. I jus think it would make taking photo's easier - LOL.

But, then I think they should close the golf courses once a week, so photographers can walk the courses They are very photogenic. LOL. And I KNOW that is not going to happen.

So beautiful, thanks for sharing! And at first, I was wondering about the power lines until I went back and read again that you had edited them out! Wish I could do that! Probably could if I tried.
