Digital COVID Verification

We got our vaccines at the Wildwood community center and got the cards and hav those images on our phones. I noticed at Walmart today that they offer digital confirmation of vaccination. Is there a way to get something like this through the agency that provided our vaccines ? Sumter County Health Dept, I think.

If you have it on your phone, it's a digital copy.

Give it time. Soon they will tattoo your status on your arm.

Maybe the Florida's Health Dept can help.

Locating Vaccination Records | Florida Department of Health

And there is the CDC Vsafe web site:

Walgreens offers a QR code that will show all of the vaccines given. However if you got your vaccine through a State of Florida health agency, then no such luck..All you get is a paper copy.

What about those of us who had Covid and now have natural immunity. Can we get a card?

Yes, but it's a scarlet card that identifies you as an unbeliever and a non-member of the Holy Church of the Vaccine.

chenault55 09-30-2021 06:22 AM

You can still get COVID even after you have had it already but the symptoms are milder.

I do not think anyone who does not want the vaccine be forced to take it.

But maybe instead of flinging insults at those who have, you should be thankful others who assumed the risk to be vaccinated have substantially reduced the risk for those who have not.

Billbo 09-30-2021 06:33 AM

I got my vaccine thru saferstart, managed GMR, Global Medical Response. It was in the field on Wedgwood lane. I tried to contact them thru email and phone, but was unable to get a digital version. No response from them or AMR, which is the local ambulance service they own, which helped administer the vaccine. My wife got hers at Walmart, and was able to login to Walmart pharmacy and get the digital card with the QR code. You can contact the state health and get a pdf list of all the vaccines you have gotten in Florida, but it’s not the digital version you are referring to.

donfey 09-30-2021 06:51 AM

could be!

There's no doubt that the attempted "management" of this crisis has gotten out of hand.

Slapnut 09-30-2021 06:55 AM

This vaccine does not eradicate the virus. People are still getting it after getting the vaccine. Pointless

rsmurano 09-30-2021 06:59 AM

You can still get covid even if you got the vaccine, so what’s the point here?

It's recommended you get the vaccine as well because past COVID infection doesn't give you as much protection (antibodies) as the vaccine. (I'm a retired MD)

You sure about this? Do you have scientific facts that you cannot be a carrier if you got a vaccine? We all know you can still get Covid after getting the shot, so you can be a carrier. I played in sports activities with over 300 people multiple times last year, and I found out my partner had covid. I got tested and I didn’t have it. Not everybody is going to get it and not everyone is going to be safe with or without the shot

Petersweeney 09-30-2021 07:06 AM

Companies have already started to fire employees that won't take the vaccine per government mandate.

Carlsondm 09-30-2021 07:22 AM

Just show the results of your antibody tests w dates. You may have to take the tests periodically to measure ‘immunity’. (There may be a different term .. we refer to titers).
Your immunity may not be sufficient for variants. Work with your doctors.

Moonstonerl 09-30-2021 08:31 AM

there is a app called gogetvax this will digify your paper card and then can be stored in Wallet on your iPhone hope this helps

Please give us the actual study data sources you are basing your statement on.

maistocars 09-30-2021 09:13 AM

Thankfully, unless you're leaving the State of Florida and going up North or the the West Coast, you don't need proof of vaccine.

Fair point. Nothing is perfect, vacination is one form of risk reduction.

It can't be effective until the antibodies start to work so vaccinated can still transmit the first few days. But their viral load is reduced and persists a shorter length of time. So they are less infectious

For proof look at the real world data data for states with low vaccination rates. Cases and especially hospitalization/deaths are significantly lower for the vaccinated.

More antiviral medications are nearing the end of clinical trial which should help reduce COVID anxiety.

Will pictures on your phone be universally accepted, or will some places require the original paper card? There seems to be an issue with counterfeit cards

That is completely opposite of reality, and completely opposite of what recent studies (ie the Israeli study)have shown...

If vaccinated, you CAN carry the Virus in your nose passages for a SHORT time only. Then your body wipes them out. That has been stated many times by various Doctors on this VERY forum!

Per the individual non-governmental companies OWN self-interest - nothing to do with the Federal Government. For example, AT and T just announced that policy with the support of their union for 10s of thousands of their employees! Vaccine Mandates and America go as far back as helping George Washington fight off disease so they could better fight the British. Historians say that was a turning point in the war. So, vaccine Mandates are as American as apple pie.
......And those companies requiring vaccine mandates will end up on the right side of history. The anti-vaxxers should get over their Facebook, Instagram, and Utube (now correcting) disinformation baggage and get with the American, patriotic way!

Thankfully, Florida is one of the leading states for CV deaths. And Australia has almost ZERO compared to Florida's 54,000 CV deaths. If Florida were a country we would be in the top 20 for total CV deaths. Yea Florida - lots of employment for undertakers and cemetery workers.

Actually if you already had covid the next time you get it will probably be much worse and the immunity is short lived with about 30% of the people not having any antibodies. If you now get the vaccine, you will be better protected.

Glad to know you're the TV's historian. Claiming a person isn't patriotic if they refuse the vaccine is a big bunch of bull. Are you telling me that the 25% of the navy seals that may refuse to get it aren't patriotic?

You're trying to use bullying tactics to coerce people into doing what YOU think is right. Freedom of choice is what's American as apple pie. People that have had the disease have much better immunity than the vaccine will ever give. No reason for them to put a foreign substance into their bodies.

BTW, the vaccines mandates you refer to are vaccines that were for the most part, totally successful. The COVID vaccines are anything but totally successful. They are a good therapeutic with a limited shelf life.
