Andrew Jackson statue
Such a shame environmental protestors painted "expecius" in red on the Andrew Jackson statue. What is wrong with people?

. "relax"??? vandalism. It goes on and on across our country. please - if this was done to an MLK statue or such, would you say "They're just sloppy graffiti writers". . . |
Probably done by the same morons that were running around yesterday wishing folks a happy indigenous peoples day.

"expecius" isn't a word. Look it up. There's no dictionary entry for it. Since I knew that (and actually looked it up to double check), I pretended BayKid was upset because whoever wrote it misspelled something - hence the "what is wrong with people?" comment at the end of his post. And so I jumped on that little tag, and made the comment that BayKid no longer has to worry that stupid people are misspelling words on statues, because it wasn't really a misspelled word afterall. You should relax too. |

. hmmm, typical "deflection/diversion" response. . . |

But it isn't what happened. What happened, is that someone sprayed "Expect Us" on the statue, and BayKid commented on the non-word "Expecius," and that's what I chose to make fun of. Seriously. Relax. |
If the Pilots are doing this as a protest to a mandate, they should realize that it is stranded passengers that are the ones they are hurting.

Expect That will be erased quickly.

The word evidently only has a meaning to the useless protestors. Protesting climate. Why deface the statue?
|
It's becoming obvious that to many of these "adults", and I use the term loosely, were not spanked for wrong doings as children.
Now I can't wait to get all the criticism for child abuse. |
Lenin called them useful idiots.

[QUOTE=OrangeBlossomBaby;2016481] The sentiment that the Jackson statue is offensive is irrelevant. It IS offensive.QUOTE]
Seriously?? The hero of New Orleans and a President revered by the people of his time? The man who coined the phrase describing the White House as "The People's House"?. Certainly not "offensive" then and only "offensive" to some today due to ignorance of history or outright denial of it. One cannot apply today's culture to the culture of the 1800's. |

Just leave the da** statues alone. If it ain't your property, you have no right to damage it in any way. Apparently, some folks did not teach their children any respect for other folks property or beliefs. Get your noses out of everyone else's business and learn to make yourselves a better person. Either that or just plain mind your own business and keep it to yourself. Too bad everyone does not carry guns openly. Guarantee that folks would keep their business to themselves and learn some manners.

Eventually a Harriet Tubman statue will replace Jackson. You can bet twenty dollars on it.

Goodbye American history.
