US Land Border is reopening soon
 

As a Canadian I am THRILLED to hear the US is finally reopening the land borders to fully vaccinated people. Woohoo!!! Sorry 'frogs' I reckon there will definitely be more Snowbirds this year. Please refrain from being too nasty, we have a right to be in TV and leave you more room in summer!

Looks as though wife and I will miss our winter golf and sunshine for second time in TV.
UK still in the dog house. Our numbers of cases are still high, so can't see restriction lifted for a while.
Plenty vaccinated, and we are both getting our boosters next week, but Delta still doing its business.:shrug:

Yes I will have my car! I'll be out of 'advanced pickleball' shape though. Mostly playing with 3.0 at this point. So I may not be good enough for Saddlebrook when I return, but I'll come by to say hello for sure.

I lived in the country of Panama for almost 6 years. There are a lot of Canadians who live there. I met and have friends from Canada and the ones I know are awesome. I even attended a Canadian Thanksgiving lunch. Welcome Canadians.

I have no idea what that's all supposed to mean, especially the "ease our immigration"?! It's the US that's opening the land borders. Canada has had theirs open since August.

History is interesting, few know or care. There is a fort in Canada now a tourist trap museum that was built to fend off a take over from the United States.

My grandparents on my mother's side, my grandfather passed when I was like 5 so never had a chance to ask him about it. They came into the US as Canadians. Actually they were illegal aliens. They were eastern European and went around the quota system.

In the mid 70's I went to school in Syracuse NY. You could drive across the boarder with ease. It was a long time ago. If, I recall they asked you to see your driver's license and you were in. Out, I don't think anyone cared to look.

Things have changed worldwide 9/11, covid, it will never be as it once was.
