New Car Prices - Ford Bronco $70K markup dealer sticker
1 Attachment(s)
You think the 10K markup is bad, try a $70 K markup
MSP 63K, dealer markup $72 K For Sale price $135K enlarge on your monitor to see the dealer markup stated clearly. . Not a ripoff, as everything is stated clearly. . |
They ran up the price of the new 392 Hemi jeep wrangler. Only made 4000 of them and they were running 10 to 20 k over sticker. Then you see them being flipped on hemmings and auction sites for 105,000 dollars. I told my dealer I would pay sticker, I'll wait til economy turns south.

Home, we bought a 3 bedroom BATH AND A HALF at $55000. In my garage, I have coffee cans filled with screws etc. They were a full pound and still marked ninety eight cents. We tend to forget what we were earning. I'm sure my back did not hurt and the guy looking back at me in the mirror looked far younger. |
Reminds me when the Ford GT-40 was brought back, list was $150k I was actually looking at buying one, actual street price over $300K. Somehow we got luck, purchased a VW Atlas, below the sticker about 4 months ago. What is going on now is ridiculous.

The Bronco is a hot item, old and new. It's amazing.
|
These markups are for specialized cars/trucks. The bronco is new and they can’t make them fast enough. The ford gt will set you back over $500k new. I had a friend that bought an Enzo Ferrari for $1.2M and was offered $1.6M for it after he used it a while and he didn’t sell it.
|
see thread above. yup, the rip-off attempts are everywhere. Unless you are desperate, I suggest either buying in another State, or waiting this whole thing out until next year
|
Ripoff sure
It's called capitalism folks and you have every right to spend all of your extra money from the 100% markup in the stock market over the last 4 years. However I will say I'm extremely upset at the general inflation rate. My son is trying to buy a home and those have gone up 100% literally in one year where he is looking. The average price is $600 to $800 per square foot for used homes. I don't know how our children and grandchildren will be able to afford to live as well as we have lived over the years, unless we end up giving them our fortunes when we die. By the way I'm probably not going to have anything left to give and I've told them all that

After hurricanes, we have gauging laws against excessive mark up of in demand products. Why wouldn’t there be limit of price inflation now? I strongly believe in the free enterprise system of or economy, but also realize there are those that will take advantage of it if possible.

Could not agree more...unfortunately tho, every other commercial you hear these days now ends with "AND IT IS FREE!!" Until and unless and it is free quits being a mantra for our country, we (and our free economy) are screwed. |

That dealership is in Oklahoma. I wonder what local mark up is. I'm too lazy to check, it might be even more.
|
No Ford Bronco for me.

Well if you're crazy enough to buy a car in Oklahoma when you live here so be it. Some local dealer screenshots would be appreciated.

It looks like to me they’re giving a lot more for your trade so they must of jacked up the price on a new one to offset the high price they’re giving you for your old car that the dealer has no idea if the trade in is any good. But this Bronco price has got to be a joke because I don’t think you could get enough options on the Bronco to get the price that high & I worked for Ford fo 38 yrs. Nothing would surprise me thou.

Price gauging maybe, prices on everything going up $ yes? Do many of you think about what Covid did to businesses ,to the supply lines , to the deaths and retiring of many truck drivers and the fact that’s many businesses are just trying to recover there losses by charging more I’m not an economist but it’s not surprising that this is happening and at sometime will pass

OP, “hang loose” this “craziness “ is only temporary maybe as long as 12-18 months. There are a lot of excellent cars out there some new but even more hardly used you can purchase if you absolutely need one. No need to be scammed…
|
You have to be out of your mind to pay suck a price for a vehicle.
USA autos still only offer 3 yrs or 36 K miles warranty. Such a rip off. Than we all wonder why we try from other countries. This article speaks for itself. |
Would love to be able to buy direct from the factory and cut out all the dirt bag car salesmen.. It shouldn’t take 2 or more hours to get out of the dealership when your paying cash ..
|
I can buy a new Camry for $ 60,000 and easily sell it for $ 50,000.
Will buy three of them to make it up on volume. We call it the new woke math. |

If any of you owned a car dealership would you not try and sell cars for as much as possible?
|
Of course they would!

I hope no one is dumb enough to pay those prices. This stuff has to stop!

Ok I have a great deal for all of you that want new domestic made vehicles.
The dealership I worked for in Texas as V.P. Outside operations sells Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM, Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Ford. If you want a Bronco and you have a little time and would like to custom order it to your specifications and wait the 6-10 weeks they will have it drop shipped to your local Ford dealer at no additional cost to you. You’ll finance, lease or pay the dealer in Texas all done over the phone and email and the local dealer will do the pre delivery inspection and prep as well as register the car you’ll get a call when it arrives at the local dealer and a call to come pick it up when is been inspected and prepped You’ll sign delivery receipt and you’re on your way I did this hundreds of times when I worked there. Dealerships are owned by a very honest Christian family and have owned them for 30 years same location. Your Bronco for now with the shortage on them will be sold to you at MSRP no dealer addendum and will not have dealer extras such as window tint, wheel locks, ceramic coating, or pinstripes added unless you want any of that. Your local dealer or any Ford dealer in the nation will be happy to honor your warranty as Ford pays the dealers for warranty services performed. On other vehicles that are not in high demand they’ll give you a real discount and of course all due factory rebates on the particular vehicle for your area will also be deducted from the final sales price. Used vehicles are in very high demand and you’ll get more selling it outright to a dealer or individual than ever before. No haggling just a fair price and a vehicle in the colors you want with the options you want and nothing you do not want. Quote:

Simple answer: Walk away, let the dumb A's waste their money. This is all about Status. Definition Status: Buying something you don't want, with money you don't have, to impress someone you don't like.
