Driveway resealing
My driveway was done by Go Concrete. It is now in need of minor repairs, repainting small areas and resealing. Is there another company that does this type of work?

Try going to Sherman Williams paint store to see if they have any names of contractors that paint driveways.

Also I notice older driveways that get bad with years and need paint etc., have lots of cracks and I never seen cracks repaired successfully that last. I had my cracked driveway replaced 3 years ago and the company that did the work told me concrete in Florida last 20-25 years before it cracks again and needs replacing. |
probably is next to impossible to match new color to original,,, however most driveway folks use stock h&c colors avail @ sher-wms.
i haven't seen 1 custom color yet from any of them |

There is two kinds of concert --- that which has cracked and that which will crack.

I left my concrete “bald” as it were. Pieces are already coming off of it after 6 years. The colosseum in Rome is still standing after two thousand years. I guess concrete isn’t what it used to be.

Try Cody McElroy. He worked for Go Concrete and has started his own company.

Call Francisco Lopez. I know him for 10+ years. He recently sealed our driveway, lanai, and patio. He does excellent work, is very dependable, and is a really nice guy-- very easy to work with. He actually repainted our patio too. He matched the color to the lanai. His brother, Miguel, works with him.
He does all types of Driveways, Entrances, Pool Decks, Patios, etc.: Fashionable & Functional Decoration. Here's his Website: Home - audecorativeconcrete.com His telephone number is (352) 484 - 8181. |
We have a concrete overlay driveway. In fact all concrete outside has overlay, originally installed by Stone Creations in 2011. The color fades, period, in 3 to 5 years in the sun, and needs to be recolored and resealed. Go Concrete did the 2nd resealing and, when they closed down, we hired Hand Designs to do the 3rd. That didn't go well. The cost was double that of Go Concrete. The "artist" mixed a sample of the right color to match the house prior to leaving one evening. But on returning in the morning he proceeded to mix a large batch of the wrong tint and apply it. They had to redo it. The owner or coordinator of the job was missing in action the entire time and could only be reached by phone. It was an exasperating day. The only good thing was it appears they used a quality sealer.
If your driveway is in the sun, it will fade. On the other hand, our lanai is shaded much of the day and hasn't suffered from the same abuse as the driveway. It hasn't been color treated since Stone Creations first applied it. We do apply sealer the same time as the driveway is treated. If you are considering concrete overlay, my advice is "Don't. Or, at least, consider how much sun will get it. I think Adam Kayler is the contractor Tim the Toolman recommends now to paint garage floors since he is so busy. |
once concrete cracks, it almost impossible to repair the crack to invisible status,,, 1 can repair it & seal it to prevent the admission of incompressibles & the resultant spalling per fed &FDOT specs, but invisibility ? no,,, if concrete is designed & installed properly the anticipated service life will be 50yrs minimum (even in fl)
