Regripping golf clubs

Where is the best place to get your golf clubs regrouped?

bagboy 11-13-2021 09:34 AM

Sarasota practice facility golf shop has done a good job for us.

dewilson58 11-13-2021 09:48 AM

I would say Brownwood.

I've used Sarasota a couple times.
First time was fine.

Last time was a struggle.
Had to return a couple times because of alignment.
They were close, but not right.
Depends on the guy in the bubble room doing the grips.
Finally got it right, just took extra trips.

Sarasota does a great job regripping clubs

You can regroup them yourself----I prefer putting driver then 3 wood then hybrid in the 3 back slots of my bag, then 4-PW, and lastly 50,55,60 in the 3 closest slots then putter:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

I typically re-group after I play. I drive around the course, picking up all of the clubs I've thrown... Then, I have a beer...

Yep, that's another way of doing it:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Oxford Golf Academy

npwalters 11-13-2021 02:21 PM

Birdies on 466. Good selection, reasonable price, and usually do it while you wait.

Mleeja 11-13-2021 07:36 PM

Golf Central is a good place to have your clubs regripped. They have a good selection of grips and will do it while you wait.

So, 14 not the limit:duck:

Topspinmo 11-13-2021 09:30 PM

When I played a lot, I just redone my own. Pretty easy.

I played with guy every time he hit driver he had to fish his club out of tree. He could hit drive 300 yards, 150 straight down the fairway and 150 to right.

Anywhere but

Go anywhere but not Sarasota
They’ve screwed up more than one of my grips and some of the staff, not all, should be in a business where you don’t deal with people

Guitarman1951 11-14-2021 07:25 AM

Birdie Golf on 466 across from the Hacienda Hills. Best selection of grips, best price and fast service.

Pretty easy procedure. I did my own recently. Ordered a kit with the solvent, tape, and tool, also ordered the grips I wanted all on Amazon. You need a bench with a vice. Watch one of the videos on YouTube and go for it. Only thing I did different was I put a price of tape above the old grip and put an alignment mark on it, makes aligning easy. Not only saved money but it was fun doing it.

sdeikenberry 11-14-2021 08:06 AM

Odd that nobody mentioned Edwin Watts golf stores. They do grips on the spot, have a large selection to choose from, can shorten or lengthen a shaft, and are reasonably priced. I use them.

Kevinwitgen@yahoo.com 11-14-2021 08:25 AM

Nice!
I thought I was the only guy with that routine!

MrFlorida 11-14-2021 08:47 AM

You can do it yourself, it's not that difficult.

We’ve addressed those issues and you won’t have those problems anymore.

Lsepanske@aol.com 11-14-2021 09:42 AM

Edwin Watts Golf......466 or Lady Lake

turk3531 11-14-2021 09:43 AM

I personally love Edwin Watts! Quick, good, friendly! Large selection of grips.

Samcat13 11-14-2021 10:49 AM

Golf Central did a lot of putters for me. No problems. I can't get them on straight. I do my own regular club grips. They are easy.

Sarasota lengthened my clubs and re-gripped them. I was well satisfied. They seem to have a nice selection of grips.

In your own home. It is quick, cheap and easy to do.

I order mine and friends on Amazon. Cut the old grips off with a hook razor knife.
Put new tape on, thennnn, I use my air compressor to install the new grips. Don't have to use solvent and they're ready to pay with when you get to the course. I can also remove some grips with the air compressor. I did a set for a friend last weekend. I've also built a lot of sets and have never had a head come off.
