Starting Over in Life

Hello everyone. My name is David, and I will be moving to The Villages come July 2022. I just cannot wait to hit the reset button on my life. I'm a businessman in Maryland having owned a variety of small businesses, but I guess I'm ready to slow down a little. I am very excited to meet you friendly people!

Welcome from another "Crab"...

What part of the state are you from?

We bought in February, but we're still "snowflakes", we come and go as much as possible until I can fully retire (which I'm working on!) and become Frogs...

From almost a crab next door in Delaware you will love it here.If you don’t like it here you won’t like heaven.

Welcome!

Good luck and enjoy. We're about a year away from where you're at, thankfully. We'll be snowbirds though. We're heading there in late Dec to check out TV. If we like it we're going to buy a place when we find what we like.

PugMom 11-19-2021 07:38 AM

rest assured, you can throw away the shovel & snow blower, :ho:

Still here. Not a full time Villager yet...

In SW MoCo, Potomac... I try to come down for 2 weeks 4-5 times a year and a week, whenever possible, and the boss stays for more extended periods....

Just moved here a month ago and the feeling is you are getting a new start of life here with all the activities, meeting lots of new people, slower country pace, active people. So look forward to it.

I would not do that. An ice scraper is great for removing bugs from your windshield and hard to find in Florida. A snow shovel of the type they call a manure shovel, is great for picking up garden stuff. I took my ice scraper. I having left my snow shovel behind had to buy a manure shovel. Snow blower. I did leave that behind. It needed to have the points done. I left the people who bought the house the blower with the points tied to it.
