I would love to see them build a Buc-ee’s along I95. I like to gas up and take a short break around NC/SC border.

Bjeanj 11-28-2021 11:39 AM

There are two around St. Augustine and Daytona.

Bjeanj 11-28-2021 01:41 PM

Some friends of ours told us about it, and we stopped there on the way north. Simply an amazing place! Must be over 50 gas pumps and about the same number of restroom stalls. Like I said, the place was packed, and I had to laugh at the dog poop signs (see above). I should have brought some of them back with me! :- )

JerryLBell 11-28-2021 03:39 PM

We stopped there for the first time this August. I've never seen so many pumps (128, if I recall) at a gas station and the gas price was very competitive. The variety of food and soda flavors (pineapple cream soda was better than it sounds) was astounding. I would definitely get my gas there regularly if it was convenient.

Didn't realize there were any outside Texas. I wonder if the locations here have beef jerky.

My mouth is now watering for a Bucee's BBQ brisket sandwich.

Bucee's is incredible. Great food and clean bathrooms.

Yes!

Timely post. I went to Jacksonville for Thanksgiving and stopped at my first Buc-ee’s. It was right across the street from the
World Golf Village - just off 95 and a few miles north of St. Augustine. It opened on February 22 and then they opened a second store near Daytona Beach. It was packed on Thanksgiving Day. It has 104 gas pumps (they are on both sides of the store) and gas was $3.11. That bathrooms were huge and were clean! It clearly exceeded my expectations. If you are near one, be sure to stop by!

They all have beef jerky, prepackaged or by the pound.

RMHisle 11-29-2021 08:31 AM

They are building one about 50 miles from my current home, and its on the way southbound. I can't wait until it opens.

You’re right & they’re great! We have 2 here & one of them is only 4 mi. from where we live. Gas there is only $2.94. Before the election gas at Buc-ee’s was was only $1.89. What happened?

We stopped there yesterday evening on our way back to TV. They have two on HW 75 in GA. Building another one in KY on HW 75. They have 64 gas pumps and most were being used. Gas price was $2.99. Loved the BBQ.

Did you run into the stopped traffic just south of Gainesville? It took us two hours longer than normal to get home due to that hideous traffic! We ended up bailing off 75 north of Ocala and took 301 the rest of the way home.

Rainger99 11-29-2021 11:26 AM

I would think this area would be a great spot for a new Buc-ees. Just outside of Wildwood - you have Interstate 75, the turnpike, and 44 all meeting. That is a lot of traffic!

I started writing to Bruce’s corporate office years ago practically begging for a location on I-75 near The Villages. We are a good midway point for tourists heading to the Florida gulf coast and Orlando area.

I was delighted when they put one in georgia on I75, delighted when they put one in St Augustine.
Started getting frustrated when they put another one in Daytona practically on top of St Augustine.

I need to write my annual letter! Maybe if other villagers (most of who seem to do a fair amount of road travel) wrote in, we could get one near us on I75)

The one on I75 in GA has 127 pumps.

tag460 11-30-2021 02:41 AM

Good news, Buc-cee's has property in Marion county along I-75, they purchased 2019.

An exit with a little bit of Texas
