Orange Blossom had a very good breakfast buffet during busy season before Covid. Don’t know if it’s been resumed since we still don’t feel comfortable dinning indoors around maskless strangers.

raynan 12-11-2021 10:14 AM

Don't think so because of staff shortages.

Yes. thank you. I forgot they did. For some reason I thought Cane Garden did put most of them at one time did have breakfast buffets.

Bonifay had a great breakfast buffet, befor Covid, our golf group went every Saturday. Went on their website, and they don’t open until 11 now. So no breakfast

Calisport 12-11-2021 05:39 PM

That sounds good if we can get that back. I got sick from a dinner at Bonifay recently though so concerned about the country club restaurants here.

A telephone call might be faster than the threads...

Evans Prairie and Bonifay were our favorite buffet breakfasts. Tried Glenview (non- buffet) last time down there and I was disappointed as the portions were small and I was hungry soon afterwards.

Lopez do a free 'All you can eat' breakfast buffet every week that The Detroit Lions win!!:icon_wink:

Try Browneood Hotel

The Chefs Studio is open every day from 7-11 with a great breakfast buffet including custom omelettes. They don’t advertise since it is designed for the hotel guests but it is open to the public.

Thanks! I found info on the chef studio buffet..

Augustine’s 1818 House on the square in Spanish Springs has a breakfast/brunch buffet on Sundays. It’s the only one I know of in the area where you help yourself instead of a server helping you.

Villages Kahuna 12-12-2021 07:17 AM

Maybe calling them might be an idea.

But you do feel comfortable taking your mask off during the meal when Fauci and other "Scientists" still say that the vaccine does not keep you from getting or passing the virus? Just curious.

Note, though, that the mask is no protection either, unless it is an N95 or similar. *♂️

Just a reminder... It is about viral load. When people wear a mask even if it is not an N95 if it has at least 2 layers like the lighter weight "procedure mask" it helps cut down on the viral load. Better to wear a lighter mask that covers your nose and mouth than to wear a KN95 and wear it under your nose because you can't breathe. If your nose or mouth is exposed then what ever viral load is out there is going directly up your nose or mouth.

billethkid 12-12-2021 08:58 AM

And everybody does remember that the requirement for wearing of the mask is for the protection of others......right?

If one wants protection of self, N95 or better is required.

Awesome

As background, I’ve been vaccinated and boosted and will get whatever is recommended in the future. However, I don’t want to be a germaphobe and afraid to live my life. I want to live maskless in reasonable situations, i.e., shopping, dining, etc. My personal belief is being exposed to viruses and bacteria is part of life and generally strengthens my immune system, which doesn’t mean I’ll never be sick again. I will be sick again someday, but, hopefully, because of how I’ve prepared by body, I won’t be seriously ill (from viruses and/or bacteria). Just my way of trying to use common sense in this not common situation and live “normally”.

Eat and breath just fine. Hi Ho Silver. Away.

Seriously, any coverage is better than no coverage. And, like a screen on a window, restricts air flow in both directions.

Will you ever feel comfortable dining with unmasked and potentially un vaxinated strangers...my hunch is no

Djean1981 12-12-2021 02:03 PM

I do...

Can't find the $$$? Any help?

Djean1981 12-12-2021 09:05 PM

The Chef Studio breakfast buffet is $18 per person.

Augustine’s 1812 House in Spanish Springs is only $8 per person (breakfast buffet)...
