1883 – Yellowstone Prequel (Official Site) Watch on Paramount Plus

Very entertaining show. I love westerns!

Topspinmo 12-22-2021 03:09 PM

Don’t you have to buy paramount plus?

The other poster got to the right information first. These first episodes are on the Paramount Channel but it did not look like would be accessible very long.

Paramount Network

They are also showing it on the regular Paramount channel...

ureout 12-23-2021 07:42 AM

I hope it gets better... 1st episode tim mcgraw is being chased while driving a covered wagon and is able to outrun about 6 guys on horseback and evade about 100 gun shots at him and able to shoot (without a miss) most of them with a scatter gun while still driving the wagon... I've never seen such accuracy lmao

Agree, changed the channel after 20 minutes. Gonna try again, and watch 2 episodes before we make a final decision on watching.

Tom52 12-23-2021 10:04 AM

Can't get excited to watch a show that will only be available on Paramount+ after the first two episodes.

Ditto.

First episode was a snoozer. The "action? Nothing more than unimaginative violence!

T-Mobile had a deal for 1year of P+ for free, so we will watch 1883 since we love Yellowstone.

airstreamingypsy 12-24-2021 09:25 AM

I signed up to Paramount plus yesterday. Right now, it's 99¢ for two months, for Prime members on Amazon. Put it on my Firestick and watch episodes one and two. I'm hooked, I love it.

Yes, you need Paramount+ to watch it.

If you happen to have Xfinity TV package, you can install the free version of Paramount & it automatically warps into the paid version of P+. I don’t know how this works, but it does and there is no extra cost for the Paramount package. Since learning this, I’ve binge-watched all four seasons of Yellowstone in this way without increasing my bill, and now 1883.

DaleDivine 12-24-2021 12:05 PM

Couldn't get into it. Not a fan of Kevin Costner...

Don't forget great series, deadwood. So many stars in it and it occurs during the same historical period empowered by manifest destiny. There was also a movie sequel.

MrLonzo 12-24-2021 04:59 PM

Yellowstone prequel might need some time to age

Yellowstone started slow but turned into a great series. Hopefully the same will occur with its prequel.

Kevin Costner is not in 1883. He is in Yellowstone.

YouTube tv has Paramount

Jimmay 12-25-2021 08:16 AM

I was looking forward to it until all the “f” bombs. Totally unnecessary. Not my kind of show.

We have xfinity. Are you saying we can get the paid version of p + for free?

So we found out we could see regular paramount and watch 1883. Loved first show.

Now to see episode 2 we need Paramount plus. Apparently we can get it via Xfinity at no extra cost by having them send us a new modem. Only problem is they cannot guarantee that by installing it we will not lose the shows we have previously downloaded.

Anyone else run into this?

So this morning called Xfinity. According to the lady answering the phone we get a new box for no additional charge but do get to pay extra for Paramount.

No thanks paying enough already for cable.

JMintzer 12-26-2021 11:40 AM

Once again, if you have the regular Paramount (NOT Paramount +) channel on your cable or streaming service, you are able to see both Yellowstone AND 1883...

I just checked my guide, Season 1, Episode 2 of 1883 is showing tonight at 9:15 pm...

TJ SoBos 12-27-2021 08:20 AM

Yes, 1883 episode 1 and 2 were on the regular Paramount, however, the rest of the series is only available on Paramount-Plus (+). They did the same thing with The Mayor Of Kingstown.....I, for one, am not happy that they suck you in with a couple of "free" episodes, then move it to an extra paid subscription!!

I recorded the 1st 2 episodes. Probably will never watch them if I'm required to pay more money to continue watching.

Even worse when they move a show we are watching (Seal Team) from free tv (not exactly free when we pay over $ 100 per month) to paramount plus.

The commercials that pop up during the show all say that STREAMING is on Paramount +. That is their "on demand" service...

We'll see next Sunday if they broadcast the show following Yellowstone as they're currently doing...

A have Yellowstone set to "record series" on my Direct TV. I'll do the same for 1883...

Taltarzac725 12-27-2021 01:46 PM

(spoiler alert)

Tom Hanks has a short appearance in 1883.

I checked my guide on DirectTV this afternoon. I went to NEXT Sunday. 1883 (Season 1, Episode 3) is listed, airing right after the finale of Yellowstone...

It looks as if only the STREAMING service is on Paramount +. The regular weekly broadcast is still airing on regular Paramount...

The Mayor of Kingstown, Season 1, Episode 0 is airing on regular Paramount right now...

It's 2 rs and 15 minutes, so I assume it's either the premier or the finale...
