We've been BOO'd.

Heavens knows I deserve it, but not that kind of Boo.

Yesterday Sweetie found a Halloween gift bag on our front stoop and it had wonderful and marvelous things in it; two Halloween guest towels, a big Halloween sucker and a halloween necklace that lights up.

There was also a Halloween poem with instructions to pass on this sweet trick to another and a sign to put on our front door saying "We've been Boo'd."

I strongly suspect that the person who did it is one of you. (Hugs)

I love it here.

Tell us when you get boo'd.

I think it started in the Village of Bonita.:)
Enjoy the 'ghostly' towels, and HUGS back at ya!

Bill-n-Brillo 10-20-2010 11:37 AM

It wasn't us!! We're, unfortunately, back in OH.

I get boo'd a lot. But it's usually for a whole different set of reasons and not necessarily at Halloween................:1rotfl:

Enjoy it, gracie. Always nice to be liked!

Our neighbor boo'd us around Halloween of 2005. We had moved in on about June 2005 from Palm Harbor, Florida.

It's probably a neighbor Graciegirl who boo'd you unless you do not have any neighbors yet?

We are not sure which neighbor did it but the boo poem was making the round of our neighborhood at that time.

The Boo poem is making it's way around our neighborhood as well. We got "Booed" yesterday, and it seems we need to "Boo" two other neighbors within 24 hours. You have to put the "Boo" sign on your front door so everyone knows you have already been booed! Kind of a cute idea!

We started getting booed a week or so ago in Bonita. It's a fun thing. Everyones into it.

We got married on Halloween. Next year we will be able to celebrate in our new home.:coolsmiley:

I love that! I wish I were in TV to Boo some neighbors. There's a wonderful neighbor right here on TOTV that I'd Boo for sure! :icon_wink:

vj1213 10-20-2010 07:54 PM

That's a great idea. I may have to Boo someone myself!

Hubby and I got married on Halloween as well. I wanted a costume wedding - he as Frankenstein and I as Bride of Frankenstein - but I got vetoed. Our cake was chocolate with orange frosting, though.

Happy soon-to-be anniversary!! :thumbup:I have always loved Halloween. A chance to wear a costume and eat candy 'til your sick. I just polished off the last caramel cremes I got for the Halloween bowl.

THE POEM

The air is cool, the season fall.
Soon Halloween will come to all.

Ghosts and goblins, spooks galore
& Tricky witches at your door.

The spooks are after things to do.
In fact a spook brought this to YOU!!

The treats that came with this small sack,
Are your to keep, enjoy your snack.

The fun will come when friends like you
Will copy this and make it two.

We'll all have smiles upon our faces,
No one will know who "Boo'd" who's places!!

Just one short day to work your spell,
Keep it secret, hide it well.

Please join the fun, the seasons here.
Just spread the "BOO's" & Halloween cheer.

AND....I can tell you for sure that it was mak44070 who left that sweet surprise. Bless her heart!!

lol - no trick-or-treaters here, but I still buy the candy and have to do my civic duty by eating it...

sunflower3630 10-20-2010 09:45 PM

Dear Gracie & Mak ~

I meant to respond to this earlier but forgot. Thanks for the anniversary wishes...but I am happily divorced. Turns out the Halloween wedding was apropos for the marriage...next time I'll pick Valentine's Day :icon_wink:

Boy Howdy. I love this forum. People here have survived the difficulties in life and still have a sense of humor. You're the best, CaliforniaGirl!
