Who is TIRED of all the COVID/Mask/Vaccination threads on TOTV?

Moderators, PLEASE STOP THEM……

Many hear seem to thrive on fearing something. Take away Covid and something will replace it. Sky falling, sinkholes, gators etc.

It’s great to see the ignorance of some peoples posts.

Some of the posts are thought provoking so do not think they should be stopped.

I am more tired of Covid continuing to spread and mutate. Did you know that Covid can not replicate (multiply) if it is not inside a human or other animal cell? It can not multiply on surfaces or in the air. Did you also know that it cannot mutate into a different variant if it is not replicating.

At least add a "hide post" or "mute" poster option

You're right but it's not the sky falling, sinkholes, or gators etc ......

I find it interesting that folks that do not like something wish to ban them from others. It was fine for those that believed that masks should be mandated as well as vaccination for everyone. If you think that folks are too stupid to make decisions for themselves, they should not be allowed to decide. The decision should be taken away from them. So much for freedom.
I enjoy reading the covid posts because we have a couple of medical professionals that separate the myth from the facts. For some reason, unlike others on here, my computer allows me to skip the threads I do not wish to read. Funny about that.

Going on two years, yes it's getting quite boring now....almost as bad as the weather channel naming storms.

Very weary of the constant focus of the media....all of them......drumming away on each and every nuance/minutia regarding covid.....valid or not.

Maybe they can make covid go away magically like they have the border crisis and the supply chain crisis and inflation!!!!

It is bad enough any discussion is being muffled regarding politics and other topics....Nothing will ever get resolved in this fashion. Do you really want to stifle your First....better to think twice or not read what you don not like.

I think the anti's need the public platform to preach, a lot more than the conformists.

just stop arguing by posting links of articles here versus articles there and trying to prove your link is better than the other link . .. . . the data is too summarized to infer medical actionable meaningful analysis. . . and if you wish the data would be more clear, welcome to the world of medical information and other large data systems, which are populated by humans who have many different interpretations and patients that don't understand the why to answer these seemingly mundane questions. and have fat fingers in some cases

and if you did get better information, what are you going to do with it? did you know that some ethnicity data entry options are free form? meaning martian is accepted. . . did you know that all nepalese have the same birthday? Jan 1 . . these are samples of data quality issues. . testing positivity, if you go to a doctor's office and ask for a PCR test, and they qualify you with a checklist, then expect a high positivity percentage. if everybody who has to pass a test first to get tested a second time to validate the first test, wouldn't you think the pass percentage to be high? yeah, that's the normal testing procedure which is why golfing eagles responds with more people getting tested means more positives, because more people pass the screening test.

Are you going to a party or a posting site to validate your authority about knowing better data quality? oh, wait, well . . .

public data versus medical professional data is very far apart, and in some states, the state DPH doesn't even want people to know so they don't submit. .

so find articles interesting, but remember they not a definitive answers unless you read peer reviewed articles and find the data set so looking at other covid information, the wastewater measurements in boston are showing the trail of a very infectious flu and very fast moving flu

The problem is, as I see it, all these medical professionals keep trying to hit a moving target. This is how Flip Flop Fauci got his name. I just wish they would add a disclaimer when making statements regarding Covid. For example, "WITH THE PRESENT KNOWLEDGE WE HAVE, we believe that getting the vaccine will eliminate the need to wear a mask. HOWEVER, that may change as we learn more about this virus". All said IMHO.

My point isn’t to restrict 1A rights, its not to be the thought police - it’s to keep TALK OF THE VILLAGES about The VIllages.

Here’s a list of approved subjects - Entertainment reviews, trades people recommendations, restaurant experiences, quality of golf courses, cracks in lanai ceilings, how good the drivers are around the circles, the flowers to put into the common area, turnpike noise, how great/bad is Southern Oaks, getting passed by someone doing 24 in a golf cart, etc.
Ask where in TV you can find rapid home COVID tests, that is Villages related.

Whether you like it or not, COVID is political - every thread goes down that road. It’s where people get nasty. I agree, I don’t read the COVID threads anymore, but there are so many, I find I don’t come to TOTV nearly as much as I used to.

We don’t have threads about enlarged prostates, glaucoma, etc. unless its to recommend a doctor near by.

There’s not a thread about the singer at Redsauce in the “Medical Discussion of Central Florida forum.”
When I am in a forum about SEC football, I read about football, not COVID.
