36 F right now according to my computer...

...not sure how accurate that is. It is for the Villages, I presume. Sure felt like 36 F when I took my dog out about ten minutes ago here in Lynnhaven which is between Southern Trace and Sumter Landing to the west just south of the Villages High School.

Access Denied 35 F according to AccuWeather here in the Villages.

Right now, "Alexa" is telling me it's 33°F and I should expect a low of 29°F overnight.

27.4 F in Belle Aire based on my digital infrared thermometer. I am glad we covered our plants. Not looking forward to a cold golf cart ride this morning.

I’m in Hemingway near Havana country club. I checked 3 local tv news stations at 430am. Two said it was 31 degrees and eyewitnesse news said it was 40 degrees? Go figure

Malsua 01-24-2022 05:56 AM

My thermometer says 32.1 but the sending unit is a little too close to the house. Lady lake is calling it 30.

Real Feel is Northern NJ in Late October.

I can live with the temperatures here for the few days it gets this cold. We still go out and enjoy a walk and even play golf, it’s nice when the courses aren’t too busy. Played 18 yesterday and playing 9 this afternoon. I just checked back home and reported weather was -29 F! The sun is out here, we can still see the green grass, get out of the house and get some fresh air and just dress accordingly. Have a GREAT day everyone.

Weather Station The Villages Amelia Kerwood Loop - KFLTHEVI353, was 28.2 F just before 7 AM! This weather station is very accurate and is very comprehensive!

I'm just happy that its the trash truck that will be going up and down my street today....and not a snow plow

airstreamingypsy 01-24-2022 09:04 AM

Thank heavens you are reporting the temperature here, I had no other way of knowing how cold it is out.

ThirdOfFive 01-24-2022 09:06 AM

I enjoy listening to the weather guy on the WVLG morning show (Jerry), as he reports both the low temp. and the high temp. for the nation. Often as not the low temp. is from my former stomping grounds Minnesota. A couple of weeks back the low was as I recall -44 fahrenheit at Celina, MN, about ten miles from where I grew up, which is pronounced Suh-LINE-a, only he pronounced it See-LEE-na. He had some fun with the low of -37 this morning in Embarrass, MN, more by the name than anything. He actually looked up the origin of the name; the name was given not for the emotion but because the Embarrass river flows through the town.

Interesting, though. After about 1.5 years here we're becoming a bit Floridized (Floridated?) but I couldn't help but chuckle yesterday when I went on the NOAA website, typed in 32162 and a HAZARDOUS WEATHER WARNING (in red, of course), popped up. Yep. A FREEZE warning. 30 degrees ABOVE zero. I remember times back home when it didn't get that warm for months at a time.

All relative, I guess. but swapping residence from Minnesota to Florida was a very good move. It actually felt COLD to me in the lanai this morning.

Garywt 01-24-2022 09:11 AM

OK people, heading down tomorrow to warm up from the New England cold weather. Please get the heater going as I am in need of some warmth, lol.

PugMom 01-24-2022 09:15 AM

billethkid 01-24-2022 10:34 AM

Well, I lived in Vernon for 26 years and I have no idea what DB and TP :). The suburbs and Highland Lakes have drastically different climates and I worked in Maywood, so I could see the seasons change on my commute. Green in Maywood, leaves mostly off in Vernon. Same in winter...raining at work, snowing hard at home.
