I heard some Walgreens do them.

2newyorkers 02-01-2022 01:07 PM

We are currently on the Enchanted Princess out of Ft Lauderdale and had our COVID test done at the pier. You had to prepay.

back in December, we used Walgreens near Rolling Acres

Stu from NYC 02-01-2022 01:57 PM

In December Walgreens at Colony did take reservations and we got results within an hour

npwalters 02-01-2022 03:40 PM

most cruise lines accept an antigen test; the 15 minute test. I know Princess and Celebrity accept monitored antigen tests. You can get that done several places including the site on 466 near the Hampton Inn.

ditka41 02-01-2022 06:13 PM

We were pleased with the prompt testing at Villages Discount Pharmacy. The 48 hour requirement for our cruise a month ago was easily scheduled there and no problems with Holland America accepting their results. I'd give their phone number but don't have time to look for it now. They will be OK with the time to meet your needs though.

alemorkam 02-01-2022 06:56 PM

Did Walgrens, with a reservation on Burnsed
last Saturday. Got results in 3 hours.

Mleeja 02-01-2022 07:50 PM

There is a testing site on 466 directly across from Laurel Manor. No reservations needed. Just from casual observation while driving by on the MMP, they appear to be not busy. Also, I was tested last Friday and drove right in. No waiting at all.

JerryLBell 02-01-2022 10:17 PM

We're going on a cruise in a month on Celebrity and they sent us an email with a link to Optum to order a self-administered test. They even are supposed to include live video instruction on using the results. This was for vaccinated passengers, of course, and it ran about $70 for 2 tests. Optum Store | Optum Store Not sure if this would for for other cruise lines but maybe you can check out Optum's website to find out.

Kayhoosier 02-02-2022 05:49 AM

We were able to schedule PCR tests for a cruise at minutecliniccare@cvs.com and then go to schedule a COV-19 test.

Bridget Staunton 02-02-2022 06:18 AM

It took 10 days to get results back for my hubby for a PCR test

Antigen test reservation

Exceptional Urgent Care on Rt. 441 in Lady Lake takes reservations. They are in the strip mall in front of Beall’s next to Takis.

We just came back from a cruise. We went to CVS and had ours done. We used the one on 466, they book up fast so we had to go on the website at about 12:30 am on the day you want the test and book our test. Had our test got our results in a text message followed to the site and took a picture of the results with camera on phone. There is also a PDF that you can print out. We have another cruise in April and will do the same thing.

The reason they are not busy is because they charge for testing.

All Walgreen's offer the test, we did the quick PCR test and got the results within about 2 hours by email and Royal Carribean accepted the tests.

We have used American Urgent Care in Wildwood for the last two cruises. No appointments needed. Just walk in, pay and you get results before you leave.

NoMo50 02-02-2022 07:10 AM

Walgreens does them, but you must have an appointment, which fill up fast. Results are very quick...got ours in less than an hour.

gwenhwalker@yahoo.com 02-02-2022 07:25 AM

Walgreens. Go online to reserve your day and time

CVS and Wallgreens both take appointments for PCR tests it can take 48 hours to get results back. You can get the antigen test at Walgreens and get your results the same day. I suggest you go that route.

We had a Celebrity cruise scheduled on Jan.2 and because of the holiday CVS was not testing 2 days before we left. We used the place on 466 just east of Buena Vista. We had a reservation but it wasn't busy when we arrived at 8:30am. In order to get our results within 24 hrs. it cost us about $100. We got an email with our results that night. It was nice having that out of the way when we hopped on the cruise express the morning of the cruise.

Walgreens. Make appointment online a week in advance to get the day & time you need. Stay in your car. It's very fast. Get the result via email in less than 24 hours. I did it 2 weeks ago.

waterflower 02-02-2022 08:18 AM

The FDA/CDC recalled the PCR test for it's very high false positive rate. This test can not detect for covid19-20-21-or 22

Go to Walgreens.com site and book your test online. I got my results in 2-3 hrs. Was traveling to Europe for a cruise.

Village Discount Pharmacy, excellent service no problem. We had our test late last year prior to a trip to the UK, made an appointment in and out in minutes.

We are on a celebrity cruise right now. They sent us to Covid test a week before the cruise. Check with your cruise line 1st.

raynan 02-02-2022 10:11 AM

CVS on 466. Go online to CVS covid testing. You can only go on, no more than 13 days before your cruise to book the test say on a Saturday if you're leaving on a Monday. Fill out form on phone or computer, print email you get with confirmation #. We've done it on a Sat and got our results on Sunday afternoon. My friend did it on a weekday and got hers back in 3 hours, depends on how busy they are. Bon voyage!

Debbraham 02-02-2022 10:59 AM

Villages discount pharmacy on 44 in freedom plaza just west of Brownwood.

Try CVS, they take appointments. We've done this for cruises also. Enjoy your cruise.

What would have happened if you tested positive at the pier?

Covid19 Antigen Test

I had the most enjoyable and easy experience today at the Village Discount Pharmacy. No appointment - and no wait - for the Covid 19 antigen test. $40 and had the results and the certificate in my hand whenI left.

NAB20 02-02-2022 11:24 PM

Cvs

CVS and Walgreens both charge your insurance, so no cost to you. We have used CVS for Antigen tests in January for Holland America and last November for Royal Caribbean. CVS is scheduled on line and the dates open up 10 days prior to test date. We had to drive to Claremont to get the Antigen tests, because local CVS gave only PCR. We were concerned about not get the lab results back in time.
