Walgreens 441 and Rolling Acres Road

I have been getting my prescriptions from this Walgreens, but need to change to another pharmacy.

Does anyone have any comments about the one at 441 and Bella Cruz?

The drive thru has been closed this week at the one on Rolling Acres Rd, so you have to go inside, stand in line with 8-10 people for 15-20 minutes. I do not have covid, but according to reports, act lest one person in that line did.

Doctor called in script this morning before 10, that was not filled until 330.Missed two doses of meds.

I know that this is whinning, but surely there is a pharmacy that is more efficient than this one. In the Spanish Springs area.

An independent pharmacy will work too. Not attached to Walgreens, will switch.

Thanks, and sorry about the rant.

I don't think the one at Bella Cruz is any better. My wife had a prescription send electronically a few weeks ago. They acknowledged that they had it but somehow couldn't get it ready for that day. No reason given why. I think we're going to go over to CVS and see if they are any more reliable.

The Walgreens in colony no better. Take forever to get prescription ready than a long line to pick up. Drive up window does seem better but would prefer easy access to pharmacist if necessary.

Also they lost two faxed prescriptions from DR recently.

Also want to change.

I use the Walgreens on Bella Cruz. During high season there is a service lag due to volume. However, if a prescription is time sensitive, I’ll go over there and ask if mine is ready yet. When they tell me no, I’ll let them know I need it soon and that I’ll wait for it. That has helped me.

delima2000 02-10-2022 04:47 PM

We changed from Walgreens on 441 and rolling acres too. Went to Publix. Better service. They don’t have a drive thru at this, location but the location near the hospital does. I heard CVS isn’t any better.

billethkid 02-10-2022 07:37 PM

No problems i store or drive through at Walgreen's on Paar Drive.

LizzieBorden 02-11-2022 05:53 AM

We go to Parr Drive and have not had any issue….

jebartle 02-11-2022 06:06 AM

Optumrx mail if not time sensitive

Aren’t you south of 44? You should try the Walgreens on Kristine way

Bridget Staunton 02-11-2022 06:23 AM

Winn Dixie on Burnsed is fantastic & very courteous

Bella Cruz is just as busy/stone crest, dell webb and beyond .. remember the planned demic... equals lack of employees, more people etc..

Just as bad- wait forever - for some reason all the scripts are called in on the same day but I get called every day for a different script instead of them being filled at the same time . Drive- thru takes as long as going inside.

Poduskahc 02-11-2022 06:51 AM

Publix

Try Publix across from lowes and new BJs on 441. They have drive through also.

bowlingal 02-11-2022 07:17 AM

I find Publix pharmacy much better than Walgreens and cheaper too!

bjd0105 02-11-2022 07:44 AM

I work at CVS inside Target on 466 and we would love to have you. Not many people know we are here so we are not as busy as stand alone stores. Also we do not have a drive thru so that makes a difference.

I switched from Colony to Pinellas Plaza. Faster.
And the Colony Walgreens lost my sons faxed prescriptions as well.

Pharmacy Alternative

I use Amazon Pillpack and I am very happy with their service.

maistocars 02-11-2022 08:54 AM

CVS at corner of 301 and 44. Very quick.

I can second this. DH gets his meds there, and if there is a problem, they offer solutions to make him happy.

I like Publix, but Winn Dixie's pharmacy is more responsive.

virtue51 02-11-2022 09:19 AM

I go to CVS on 466 -- excellent service.

Bonnevie 02-11-2022 09:20 AM

If you want exceptional service from and independent, you should try Village Discount Pharmacy in Wildwood.(352) 492-9333 although it might be far from you, they offer delivery.

Cherstubbs 02-11-2022 09:21 AM

In my opinion, both CVS and Publix pharmacies are great!

I’ve always had issues at this store with waiting in store & drive up, lots of people in the back but only one person helping with pick ups, looking for another pharmacy too

davem4616 02-11-2022 10:26 AM

we use the one on Kristine Way in Deaton Plaza...never had any issues

...they are all shorthanded, and the one the OP mentioned has had a help wanted sign out for a while

Nell57 02-11-2022 02:14 PM

Not true at all. Please don’t politicize everything.
I’ve had excellent service at Walgreens on Parr Dr and the one on Burnsed. I also use a Walgreens when I’m in Ohio…. Excellent service. If I was going to change I’d probably try Amazons new pharmacy

Priebehouse 02-11-2022 04:07 PM

Agree on the Winn-Dixie

kkingston57 02-11-2022 04:15 PM

I use Publix, which is a couple of blocks north on 27/441. Have had same problems, but no drive thru. They are very helpful. Helped me get great price on some very expensive meds. Seems like we are all in the same boat.

Thanks for this tip. We're moving to the Villages next month and I've been looking for a good Pharmacy. I have a specialty medication that I need and was looking for a good quality & highly reliable Pharmacy nearby. Will call them tomorrow.

Sparky25 02-12-2022 06:49 AM

Lake Sumter Landing pharmacy is the best. Get away from the big drugstores they are all the same, no individual attention

marlyn smith 02-12-2022 08:09 AM

walgreens 441 and rolling acres road

Had a similar problem. The Publix at 1566 Bella Cruz Dr. has been great...352 561-7234

And yet they are always crowded. We will try the Pinellas one next time.

Patience

Pharmacists, techs hit with burnout, frustration amid labor shortage.

Have patience folks.
They are doing the best they can without making mistakes.

Plan ahead when you can

Don't you mean 441? Never saw a Target on 466 but wished there was one. Hope you don't get lost going to work! :D :D
