New Harvest Restaurant and Bar

I just found the menu for the new Harvest Restaurant (Brownwood Paddock Square) on The Villages Gourmet Club website HERE.
Most of the main dishes are in the $20s and $30s, with a small Filet at $39.
It says they will be open next Monday, 2/21. Can't wait!

Thanks, Gourmet Club!

The menu choices sound terrific. The Executive Chef Britney is very talented.

Nice!

thelegges 02-14-2022 01:44 PM

Full menu posted on their website

Garywt 02-15-2022 02:31 AM

Not sure this will be for me. First off I do not like wine. Second, the majority of things on the menu are nothing I would order for the most part the filet aside.

asianthree 02-15-2022 04:55 AM

Prefix catching my eye. Glad to see more restaurants coming, with a different variety of items. Unsure of the wine list. Bottles show their label. That could be a crap shoot. Hopefully wine list will be more positive

The villages gourmet club should eat at Bonifay and let Fred know what they think.

Fiesta Grande is directly across the square from Harvest.

There is absolutely NOTHING on that menu that awakens my salivary glands.
I'll take a good mom and pop Italian restaurant any day.
And the wine? It looks like their own private label....probably Two Buck Chuck re-labeled.

Go to their website for a full wine list (link at bottom of the front page). They have many California, Italian, and French wines up to $155 bottle. Very nice well know wines.

Go to their website and you can see their extensive wine list which contains many fine wines. Many people are looking for something different then Italian food.

Gpsma 02-15-2022 01:24 PM

Very interesting and different menu. It certainly is not for the typical villager thats gastronomically uncultured.

Wish them luck

Pretty typical markup, if not a little low.

Bogie Shooter 02-15-2022 03:06 PM

Always amazed how some can bitch about something they never experienced.

traveler9 02-15-2022 05:45 PM

Michael is their expert wine sommelier. Tell him what you like and I am sure he will help.

There is always someone that thinks he is better than the rest of us because he likes different food options.

Hahaha, I have a neighbor "up north" who fancies himself a self-taught chef. What he really is is an arrogant a$$hole who thinks he is better than everyone else.

Something TOTV is really good at...

The menu sounds quite interesting to me. And they take reservations! A plus for sure. Their facebook page has some nice photos of a couple of the dishes they will serve - looks amazing.

Never buy a bottle of wine at a restaurant, that you can buy under $30, mark up usually 2.5-3. Wine in the $80 plus retail usually is a small percentage mark up. So their Silver Oak, my cost about $70 to $85, buying from the vineyard, no shipping cost, depending on vintage.

After pointing out all those negatives for you, you're saying you're still on the fence ????

Seems like they do. You can read the reviews on their website. Same goes for Evans Prairie CC.

It is adjacent to Blue Fin in the building that has been empty since they built Brownwood.

asianthree 02-22-2022 02:41 PM

Harvest opened yesterday (Monday) at 3pm, anyone have a review. Won’t be eating out for 2-3 weeks so will have to depend on someone’s review.

RICH1 02-22-2022 03:16 PM

Just perused the menu, evidently my financial situation is leaning toward Hot dogs and Cherry Bounce this week..

It's across Meggison from BlueFin...

Fiesta Grande is on the other side of the square...

valuemkt 02-25-2022 09:49 AM

Agree. not unusual for 3x retail markup. Price over $100 would scare people used to drinking Vendage or Two Buck Chuck or some other Jug Wine

Looked busy last night (Thursday) when we walked by. People at the bar looked happy.

Thanks for the walk by review.

My husband and I had dinner at Harvest Wednesday night and it was excellent. The food, service and decor are top notch. There wine list is large and there are a number of wines by the glass. A basket of warm rolls and butter were served and I was happy there were pumpernickel rolls. I ordered the Fruitti De Mar which contained shrimp, scallops, mussels and gnocchi in a delicious sauce with fresh herbs. My husband ordered the chicken stuffed with chorizo in a fig sauce. It came with roasted potatoes and kale slaw. Dessert was coffee infused gelato with chocolate chips and biscotti. Everything was so delicious that we made a reservation for Sunday on our way out. They open at 3 and I highly suggest that you make a reservation as they are busy.

Sounds almost exactly like what I had at home on Wednesday.
