New Harvest Restaurant and Bar
I just found the menu for the new Harvest Restaurant (Brownwood Paddock Square) on The Villages Gourmet Club website HERE.
Most of the main dishes are in the $20s and $30s, with a small Filet at $39. It says they will be open next Monday, 2/21. Can't wait! Thanks, Gourmet Club! Skip |

Nice!

Full menu posted on their website

Not sure this will be for me. First off I do not like wine. Second, the majority of things on the menu are nothing I would order for the most part the filet aside.
|
Prefix catching my eye. Glad to see more restaurants coming, with a different variety of items. Unsure of the wine list. Bottles show their label. That could be a crap shoot. Hopefully wine list will be more positive

There is absolutely NOTHING on that menu that awakens my salivary glands.
I'll take a good mom and pop Italian restaurant any day. And the wine? It looks like their own private label....probably Two Buck Chuck re-labeled. |

Many people are looking for something different then Italian food. |
Very interesting and different menu. It certainly is not for the typical villager thats gastronomically uncultured.

Always amazed how some can bitch about something they never experienced.

The menu sounds quite interesting to me. And they take reservations! A plus for sure. Their facebook page has some nice photos of a couple of the dishes they will serve - looks amazing. |

Harvest opened yesterday (Monday) at 3pm, anyone have a review. Won’t be eating out for 2-3 weeks so will have to depend on someone’s review.
|
Just perused the menu, evidently my financial situation is leaning toward Hot dogs and Cherry Bounce this week..

Fiesta Grande is on the other side of the square... |

Agree. not unusual for 3x retail markup. Price over $100 would scare people used to drinking Vendage or Two Buck Chuck or some other Jug Wine

My husband and I had dinner at Harvest Wednesday night and it was excellent. The food, service and decor are top notch. There wine list is large and there are a number of wines by the glass. A basket of warm rolls and butter were served and I was happy there were pumpernickel rolls. I ordered the Fruitti De Mar which contained shrimp, scallops, mussels and gnocchi in a delicious sauce with fresh herbs. My husband ordered the chicken stuffed with chorizo in a fig sauce. It came with roasted potatoes and kale slaw. Dessert was coffee infused gelato with chocolate chips and biscotti. Everything was so delicious that we made a reservation for Sunday on our way out. They open at 3 and I highly suggest that you make a reservation as they are busy.
