Favorite Lee Marvin movie?

List of 57 Lee Marvin Movies, Ranked Best to Worst

He has been in some very good movies. What is your favorite?

The Dirty Dozen would be mine.

Ecuadog 02-19-2022 03:04 PM

Loved him in Cat Ballou.

Don't remember him in "The Caine Mutiny". How big a part did he have?

Taltarzac725 02-19-2022 04:02 PM

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance - Rotten Tomatoes

Lee Marvin was in one of my favorite Westerns.

Here he is in it. It is a very small part as a sailor who testifies about the Humphrey Bogart character's actions as a Captain.

The Wild One with Marlon Brando
His characters name I think was Chino

Topspinmo 02-19-2022 06:03 PM

I liked all of them, plus his Johnny Carson guess appearances

Chi-Town 02-19-2022 11:52 PM

Another vote for The Wild One

I'd go with The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance as 1, The Dirty Dozen as 2, and The Professionals as 3.

Paint Your Wagon

Lee Marvin in a comical role was different for him and he pulled it off.
Liked the way he played the bad guy, but as a WW2 marine vet he was a hero not a villain.

Lee Marvin accepts his Oscar for Cat Ballou..... Click Here.

Bilyclub 05-07-2022 01:31 PM

I would second the M Squad, early tv at it's best. Old Man Daley banned all movies and shows from filming in Chicago because he didn't like the way M Squad portrayed the city.

Paint your Wagon with Clint Eastwood.

The “Big Red One”

mgkw1 05-08-2022 08:51 AM

This was the first movie I saw him in. Great actor

davem4616 05-08-2022 11:19 PM

Cat Ballou...although The Dirty Dozen is a very strong second
