Finally Dragonfly in Flight!
2 Attachment(s)
After 2 1/2 years here, finally caught one in flight! Landing gear fully retracted!
|
wow...nice shot.....we used to call them the Bronx Bombers (even though we were not from NY)
|
I am seeing serious blurring as TOTV site compresses my photos. Sigh. I guess I need to host them off site so they are clear.

Perfect!

What a great shot! Actually, that close up, it's almost scary looking. |
Truly great shot, it does not look harmless, looks like a stinger on the tail
|
Great photo! These animals were flying over dinosaurs millions of years ago. A prehistoric dragonfly was the largest insect ever known. It had a wingspan of over 30 inches and weighed one pound!

Nice, Carolina Saddlebags..

Thank you everyone, I think I am finally learning. Have been trying to catch these in flight for a while now, and they zip around so fast it takes some planning - LOL!
|
Thank you for sharing. Great shot and took a lot of patience and planning. Bravo
|
WOW, so cool. Great focus, congrats! They are so much bigger here than up north. Had a hard time knowing what they were when I first saw them here.
|
Amazing- thanks for sharing!!!:coolsmiley:

Gorgeous shot! I don't have the patience or the know-how to capture a photo like that!
