If I were to venture a guess, it would be Tiger. His name is gold. I don't know how far in advance these things are arranged but if it as thought that there would be a reasonable chance of him playing, I can see pay-per-view happening.

Topspinmo 04-07-2022 03:03 PM

Setting here watching it on dish channel 140. Smith leading -6 under. O wait, Tiger getting reading to tee off!!!!!!! Time 4:05 PM..

Same here.

retiredguy123 04-07-2022 03:58 PM

I started watching it on the internet at 1pm with screen mirroring to my TV. Then switched to channel 403, ESPNHD at 3pm. All free.

Babubhat 04-07-2022 04:02 PM

There is a lot of neat features on masters.com. Go to leader board and then click on any golfer and you can watch their round right up to the minute of where they are - every player. Also this morning starting at 11:00 am was live favorites group. The groups they followed are correlating pretty well to the leaders as of this time. Other features are live broadcasts of amen corners. Many more - impressive. I also hooked the computer up to the big screen TV.

The Masters is being aired on ESPN from 3pm to 7:30 pm. Anyone wanting to watch the tournament earlier in the day has to have ESPN Plus, which is a pay to watch type of thing. Tomorrow (Friday) is most likely the same thing.

Thank you, ours announced it as pay channel

Babubhat 04-07-2022 05:53 PM

Masters.com picks up a portion of ESPN plus feed. Why you see a banner on internet when the other goes to commercial

Do you have Xfinity?

retiredguy123 04-07-2022 06:14 PM

Apparently, DIRECTV is broadcasting 5 holes of the tournament in 4K. But, if you don't have DIRECTV, or want to watch the other 13 holes in 4K, you are out of luck. It seems kind of ridiculous to broadcast a major event like that and not use the latest technology, which is actually 10 years old.

Mleeja 04-07-2022 07:28 PM

Masters.com It is free. There is coverage of holes 4,5,6, amen corner, and holes 15, 16. Also has the “featured groups” and you can follow individual players. Much better coverage than ESPN.

HeleneGB 04-08-2022 04:33 AM

Watched it free all day on the golf chanel.

Jerry F2 04-08-2022 04:49 AM

Are you sure? As I understand it, the live TV coverage is split between ESPNHD and CBS. The Golf Channel covers the tournament on their "Live from the Masters" program, but they can only report on the tournament status and show recorded shots. They cannot show live tournament coverage. If you want to watch the tournament live, you need ESPNHD and CBS, or watch it on the internet.

I think it was a glich in the system with xfinity. Around 1pm we could not get it and by 5 when we got home we were able to get on ESPN with no problems

davbrindle 04-08-2022 06:15 AM

Stream with YouTube TV

I cut the cable several years ago; I stream all my viewing these days. Less than $75/mo and no regrets, record thousands of shows and more.
I do have an outdoor antenna also for the occasional internet loss and that’s got plenty of shows, just can’t record over the air programming unless you invest in a not so cheap recorder.

I don’t know what you mean by “pay only”, but I watched it yesterday all day on ESPN for free.

The golf before 3:00PM is on ESPN+ or just stream for free on Masters.org or on any device or download the masters app. My guess is they do wrap around coverage for the early morning tee times.

billethkid 04-08-2022 08:19 AM

We get "The Tiger Woods Show" included on ESPN Xfinity line up

jscocco 04-08-2022 08:19 AM

They turned a major event into the TIGER SHOW. I’ll watch the opposite wave that he’s playing & definitely with the sound off.

Tvflguy 04-08-2022 08:31 AM

We get ESPN gratis with our DIRECTV package. Watched a bit of the coverage yesterday. The announcers etc etc left me wanting for network coverage with our old announcers and analysts.

We've had good experience with Comcast/Xfinity for years now. And yes...The Masters is part of Xfinity television.

jjombrello 04-08-2022 10:26 AM

I watched the Master streaming on x-finity. No pay-per-view.
