Marion County is loud & proud
Was it necessary to erect the huge Welcome to Marion County sign on Buena Vista? A true eyesore prior to entering the Piedmont/ Springdale Roundabout… Resembles something on the I 75 ..
|
And just when I thought Villagers had run out of stuff to complain about.

I saw it today and thought it was quite attractive. Fit the decor of the roundabout signs quite nicely.

I've seen the sign. Looks nice. Not an eyesore.
|
Just maybe the OP would like another sign. The one that says
WELCOME HOME TO NEW YORK! Just saying. |
Some people just love to gripe & complain

Some people here would complain if they were hung with a new rope.....

AND what is the big deal. Doesn't really hurt anything or anybody. More important stuff going on in the world besides a sign.

I saw the sign yesterday, in my opinion there is nothing wrong with it at all.
My suggestion is that you find something else to complain about, maybe a stray weed in a flowerbed... |

Buena Vista Blvd is one of the most unique public roads in Florida. Flowers, palm trees, roundabouts with flora in the middle, golf courses to the left, golf courses to the right, golf carts riding up and down, with cyclists and walkers.
Whenever we turn off rt. 42 and on to it, we know we're in TV. I saw the sign and I agree with the OP. I would have liked something with a little art work commensurate with the beauty of the road. Soon we'll have our first store front on Buena Vista Blvd. I guess that's progress. Sad. |
