The muskrat now owns three businesses I have zero interest in. Will never drive a Tesla, use twitter, or go into space.

Sounds to me like that would be your loss. He is an amazing visionary.

When I see Stu's icon I see a dog on a roof with a noose around its head. Tell me it isn't so!

So, you'll never use the tech he's developed for Nueralink, nor the tunneling tech developed by The Boring Co, not the battery and automobile tech he's developed that will filter down to other auto manufacturers... :coolsmiley:

Oh, and Space-X is putting up satellites that help drive the internet you're currently bitching on...

Why are you saying this to me? I think we need more from Musk not less. To me he is the man of the century

I would bet the FCC would not accept that one.

Do think the govt has been to accepting of these large anti competition mergers.

But glad to see a new owner of Twitter.

What about TOTV! Free speech!

Susan1717 04-27-2022 05:24 AM

I am hoping he does what he says and brings back free speech to Twitter. I have never used Twitter before but once he’s in control I will definitely start. I say he’s a perfect candidate- for Elon Musk 2024!

I think I'd be more concerned that over 18 food processing plants in the U.S. have burned down in the last 6 - 8 months. It's pretty obvious that there is an intentional attack on our food supply chain. Far more concerning than the fake world of social media. We can survive without the internet, but food....not so much.

Seems like a lot of money to pay for a website. Why couldn't Musk have just started his own social media site to compete with Twitter? Then, he could have paid the prominent Twitter users to switch to his site and put Twitter out of business. Just a thought.

Yesterday the whole stock market dropped big-time. A survey showed that 25% of Twitter users were thinking about abandoning the platform.

The Musk story has not completely played out - it is too early to form a definitive opinion. He was born in South Africa and seems to prefer the State of Texas, which has attitudes like South Africa. Some Black and Brown workers have felt prejudiced against at his factories. He has said some pretty strange things on Twitter in the past. He used a Canadian passport belonging to his mother to help him enroll in a US University rather than his father's South African passport.
.........I can't say that Musk is absolutely bad. I can say that he is controversial and as such needs to be kept under observation. He seems too far right of center for my tastes. The bigger picture problem is that in the US the tax system is created by the rich and for the super-rich. They are draining the middle-class dry.

Since he was born in South Africa, he could NOT be President (like Arnold Schwarzenegger). Maybe Musk could be governor of Texas. Incidentally, he has about 7 children from different ladyfriends that he did NOT bother to marry. I suppose that he is ABOVE that - mundane does not suit him.

There are a lot of food recalls. That's what small government gives you...........food poisoning! Small government is code for "let the small people suffer"!
