Trailwinds

They began clearing a lot across from the new Starbucks.
Does anyone know what could possibly be going in there?
( please ChickfilA). 😊

The lot directly beside Starbucks was purchased in 2020 by the Florida Credit Union

You could start a petition, that seems to becoming popular.:1rotfl:

The fast food restaurants in Trailwinds seem to be doing “mediocre” business at best. Perhaps when more apartments and houses are finished in Trailwinds they will draw more customers. No golf cart traffic doesn’t help.

And they will not get golf cart traffic.

HMMMMMMMMM, because it is not part of the villages!

patfla06 04-30-2022 12:15 PM

Sure you can Pinellas crossing 466a to Primrose providing you have a street legal golf-cart. If you can cross Morse Blvd and 466 you can do it there too.

you are correct, you can cross 466A if you have a street legal cart, but really how of those are there in the villages. Others can cross but will get a ticket if they are not street legal.

Where there is a will there is a way Spruce Creek off 441/27 can cross with non street legal to Walmart,I realize that’s Summerfield, time to start lobbying to get the same here. If a traffic light is in your favor and you can cross highway with a baby carriage you should be able to do the same in a regular golf cart. The Morse family has a lot of pull in denying a lot of access to properties not operated by them. Maybe it’s time to ruffle a few feathers!

Good luck with that one!

Quiet day for Becky. Some OT and a bit of time out of bed.
She had a new visitor and Lou and Lorraine brought Marley.
OT person managed to spill some liquid protein on the floor which no one really cleaned up ... a very sticky situation but "housekeeping isn't here today"! Becky asked that it be cleaned up... ignored.. No concern for basic sanitation but Becky must be isolated because of their incompetence!!! Makes complete nonsense! She lays in bed with a putrid skin graft while they happy speak and disappear.
I've shortened my "assessments, analysis and suggested remedial actions" delivered to Becky which works better for both of us. And the Chatham s*** show continues. It is not unique. No golf cart traffic doesn’t help.

Why can’t they allow golf carts to cross at the light at Pinellas?

Costco has no target on this area for the next 2 years...... St Augustine is next.

that doesn't stop some of them..... I've seen carts cross at traffic lights they weren't supposed to be at.

jimdecastro 05-01-2022 06:33 AM

Perhaps these fast food companies can move south of 44. We have one being built and no gas stations.

Tanks for asking but I don’t know!

Luggage 05-01-2022 06:48 AM

If you want fast food all you need to do is get in your car. Personally I'm sick of all the churches and banks around here.

In my experience, the places with no golf cart traffic have better service and better food.

airstreamingypsy 05-01-2022 08:19 AM

Lowes at Trailwinds has golf cart parking spaces, I assume for people who live in the houses there.

Remembergoldenrule 05-01-2022 08:20 AM

Need to write to Fazoli’s to get them to put franchise in there.

Actually one going to go in Claremont.

Johnsocat 05-01-2022 09:23 AM

My vote is for a Waffle House... open 24/7. Golf cart access would be awesome!

mike1946 05-01-2022 09:23 AM

There is access to all the big stores on the east side of 441 which are not Villages controlled e.g. Lowes/Bealls/Aldi/Walmart + numerous other restaurants and businesses ....go off the Villages via our 'secret gate' off Paradise.

Chuckndianne 05-01-2022 09:24 AM

Crossing at Morse & 466 is by a tunnel, not a crossing. Crossing at Pinellas is illegal. A tunnel will need to be made, but will not as it is not in the financial interest of the Villages do so. The City of Wildwood killed that option. The Villages Entered into a contract to purchase a property but the city of Wildwood would not allow the villages to expand as they normally do. They wanted commercial businesses. That was their choice. So now if the public wants a golf cart path crossing the city must build it.

SSSSHHHH. Don't tell anyone.:1rotfl:

EviesGP 05-01-2022 11:12 AM

I agree with both(below) remarks. They can find a way to put in a gate from St James area(Sandhill Exec).
Also, if someone got creative, they could actually cart it off the BV MMP, onto the grass(hugging the roadsides down BVB, and right on 466A(outside the golf course), until they reach the street near the ER? I'm not sure what that would violate for a law?

Golf cart street access is controlled by county or city.

Don’t think so. Sumter commissioners screwed that up, so they’re building in Tavares. ☹️

It didn't take long for creative Villagers to figure out how to access The Sunny Pint (by golf cart) via the Brownwood Hotel & Spa.
