Gate to Walmart/Aldi's/BJ's
Is there any truth that the gate on the historic side will be permanently closed due to the state not wanting any golf cart traffic due to the new BJ's opening up?

Costo's
Gate will be closed after Costo's opens

Use the gate all the time, but not for the three stores mentioned. We call it the gate to Lowels and WaWa for ethanol free gas.

I did hear TV wants us all to stay inside TV at all times with any golfcart except for the street legal carts which can cross Hwy 441.
I for one will miss going to Walmart if that gate is closed. |

There are 1-2 other developments that golf carts come from to use these plazas. There is a path next to Walmart and one behind Dollar Tree just not sure if they are from the same development or not. I can’t believe this would be supported by anyone.

Someone pointed out that BJs put in many many golf cart parking spaces so a locked gate does not make sense. At most maybe opening week until the crowds slow down. It is a block away from the state road.

Stonecrest has a gate that gives access to Walmart, Dollar Tree, and some other places.

You can only legally cross 441 @ SE 175th St the entrance to Spruce Creek South. The the Law!!

Come over the golf cart bridge stay left. Once you pass the Boone Gate look on the left. After the ninth home see the trail on the left to the gate which hasn’t been working for 3 days.
Nobody ripped it apart this time.. I think it wore out from to much use. It’s going to be a parade once BJ’s opens. Have patience while waiting in line at the gate and don’t forget your gate card because there is no Red Button to push. |

The “path”. keeps getting longer and further out of the Village. Carts were
trespassing on Duke property. Carts are suppose to stay on Villages property. |

Where do people get their crap info from?

Both Property Mgt or Villages Commercial Property Mgt had no idea that anything was happening to the gate - a person at Comm. Mgt. said he would check and get back to me???

Part of it is only accessible via golf cart - including the gate itself, and the path from Aldi's to Walmart (which has a side-path to a Stonecrest golf-cart gate). I don't know why anyone would actually stand there beside his golf cart asking everyone if they'd heard about this and if it was true, when a simple phone call to the Villages Community Watch (which oversees the gate) would have given them the answer. |
