Vystar Credit Union Website Down

Vystar's web site has been down since Sunday May 8 for software and platform changes. It was supposed to be operational again on Sunday May 15.

That did not happen. The web site is still down today May 20. Vystar says our money and our personal data are safe, but ????

The branch office on 466A is open.

Got an email from them yesterday and wondering why it is taking so long to fix the problem.

retiredguy123 05-20-2022 12:35 PM

Ransomware?

If it's ransomware, they don't want you to know.

They report that it is not ransomware, nor malware.

So it must be an incompetent IT department.

The staff at the branch office were able to access my accounts, and processed my withdrawal.

The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is an independent agency created by the U.S. government to regulate and protect credit unions and their owners. Just like the FDIC, the NCUA insures up to $250,000 to all credit union members and provides protection in the event of a credit union failure.

Stuff does happen but they have been unable to fix this for quite awhile. Not speculating just relaying the facts.

Had $$ there for few years and home loan. Twice money was withdrawn from checking account without authorization. We paid off the loan and removed all $$ and closed accounts last year. No mo Vystar

Site Upgrade

They just upgraded their system. Seems it never worked properly .. I had issues logging in on my phone since the upgrade

Two Bills 05-21-2022 06:16 AM

Keep $$$$$ under bed.
No upgrades needed, and easy access!:icon_wink:

Banks are switching over to the new banking system. Many changes are coming. Some will close.

SeaCros 05-22-2022 07:08 AM

If you can, you might want to move your money from them. IT upgrades are a necessary evil that must be done to protect the consumer. VyStar did not handle this one properly as it seems they didn't have a back out plan. The system has been down a week and I feel bad for those that are tight on cash since it is difficult for them to access their money. We live in an online world and not being able to see your money is a hard pill to swallow.
