I just wanted to introduce myself and say we will be arriving at The Villages the middle of June. We have been snow birds for 11 years. We have spent our winters in Naples and have finally decided to go full time. We sold both places in a matter of days. We tried to buy an existing house but couldn’t find what we wanted. We rented a house and will be building. Thanks,

Wife and I are from the northwest Akron area, with family in Chillicothe, Kent and N. Canton/Minerva area.

Thanks for all the great replies. We are building in West DeLuna. Our lot backs up to the central marsh.

I have lived in Akron (Portage Lakes) for 78 years. Making this move is a big deal for me.

I am from Cincinnati, but you could probably tell because of how I type my posts in a slightly southern accent.

At MU, all you northern kids always said we southerners had an accent.

We are Polar Bears, too! Won’t be down full time for another year and a half, though. My husband and I are both alums. Our daughter is an ONU volleyball player, and my husband is a professor.

We are from Cincinnati as well. Was once asked if I was from Tennessee. What the…..??!!

An interesting combination. I was born in Akron, elementary in Cuyahoga Falls, middle grades in Springfield near Dayton, graduated from Stow, practice wife was from Minerva and we lived in Paris. Moved here with the best wife from Perry Township, Canton.
