If a neighbor's lawn looked like this you would call Community Standards and they would issue daily fines until things were corrected. But what if the 'neighbor' was a Country Club owned by the developer and they refuse to do anything about it?

Looks like a golf starter shack, so go to the shack, and ask for the manager of that golf course and discuss with them.

I did that. I said they refuse to help.

He said they would tell the superintendent. Then they spread something that looked like grass clippings. This photo is one month after that treatment.

It's amazing what a few weeks of rain might do to that area. We have a mowed area behind our home that is full of weeds that they won't take care of and they are spreading into my lawn so I asked if I could do it the answer was no. I did it anyway and it looks so much better now.

That could easily be my lawn! I say my job is to make my neighbor's lawn look good!

When will these few weeks of rain be coming? Cannot believe how dry it has been.

A golfer would know what things are like May & June.

Not sure “golfers” should accept crappy conditions, based on the month(s) of the year. My point was that I wouldn’t let my yard get to that state. But hey, if you’re happy with it, it’s all good, right!

On average, May is one of the driest months and June is the wettest. The rainy season is June, July, August, and September - much wetter, on average, than the other 8 months.

I for one would not call and report a neighbor if their lawn looked like that. I just worry about what my lawn looks like. If it is bad enough the clipboard ladies will turn it in.

Executive golf course is not the Developer. It is your CDD.

Good point. I really don't need my CCD money spent to make that area of grass look like my lawn.

There is nothing but mud in the second picture. No grass to water. And I do spray the weeds. Unfortunately there is absolutely no vegetation in the largest area.

Hmmm, an area with some dried out and dead grass at a country club in an area where golf isn’t played. Waaaaa! That’s absolutely nothing compared to what took place at the Hacienda Hills Country Club. I’m sure the residents living adjacent to HH would much rather have that problem than having the Clubhouse, Restaurant, pool, restrooms, and tennis courts torn down. It’s all relative and the comparison certainly puts things into perspective.

We were promised that our neighbors would be required to maintain their grass in good condition as would I. Should there be different standards for us homeowners vs the Morse's?

Spend more water on grass = higher costs = higher greens fees
