Not a coincidence? SECO targeted your area because of the people chatting about generators?

Nearby Arnold Palmers.

Power just came back on.

Very timely communications from SECO.
Text from them within minutes of outage.

Now let's hope for 18 more years until the next one.:ho:

vintageogauge 06-21-2022 04:21 PM

Last week they stated it was a broken wire at one of the sub station.

JoelJohnson 06-21-2022 04:38 PM

I had a broken main wire going to my panel, SECO came out the next day and set up a temp service and came back a week later and made a perm fix. No Charge.

I totaly agree…wasn’t even an hour,
but it was a good time to take a nap!

Nucky 06-22-2022 03:30 AM

8 Days with no power after Irma with Duke in The Prehistoric Section. Sorta makes the hurting of no electric REAL when it happens to you? No?

Hopefully not a trend but we are hearing from main stream media to expect brownouts this summer during extreme heat.

Captainpd 06-22-2022 06:51 AM

Once again, an all time not smart post! Just what kind of coincidence do you think this is. And please post only facts. Russians most likely or some communism plot to over throw teco and Seco.

I think Not a coincidence !

Yeah they did it purposely so none of their customers would
consume electricity and lose money.

airstreamingypsy 06-22-2022 07:19 AM

Good grief.

11 days no power back in the late 80s in the finger lakes after a ice storm ripped down poles and trees. No power, no heat and lost all of our food in our big freezer and fridge. Also roads were impassable. So an hour or two is a vacation.

Bay Kid 06-22-2022 07:36 AM

They were replacing a sub station across from Bridgeport.

OhioBuckeye 06-22-2022 07:42 AM

Wait until we get a million EV’s charging. We all had better wake up!

I took the time out to recharge my elec car

DonnaNi4os 06-22-2022 08:39 AM

If it wasn’t a coincidence, what exactly do you think it was? Just wondering??

Yep. It’s Florida…power goes out from time. Whining about 2hrs? Try three days. We’ve done it. Hurricanes can be brutal. The Villages is “heads & tails” ahead of the state as most all the lines are buried.

OhioBuckeye 06-23-2022 09:21 AM

What do you think will happen when several hundred thousand or a million EV’s get plugged in. This is a joke on us!

Monika Greiner 06-23-2022 11:55 AM

Power out

🙀 it will happen.

OhioBuckeye 06-23-2022 04:45 PM

Grids won’t handle another million EV’s plus all the electricity we’re using now, guaranteed!

OhioBuckeye 06-23-2022 04:51 PM

Sure it’s going to happen! We better open Keystone Pipeline & get back to keep building gasoline cars. EV people better wake up, we’re moving to fast.

Carlsondm 06-23-2022 06:22 PM

There are a lot of power lines above ground in The Villages now. I would expect some outages eventually. At least you were not freezing and out of power.

Never! The space lasers and our thermostats will keep us powered up when it gets to that point. Have you run out of tinfoil yet? :1rotfl:

Well, as long as you guarantee it it must be so. :22yikes:
