No more free Village News??
I have received a daily online Village News for years. Suddenly I am not. Trying to research the problem I have found only monthly charges to receive it now. Is anyone still receiving the free version? If so, please let me know how I can also. Thank you

I have not gotten the "free" version for years, I just go to the site for some of the highlights, which are still free.

The two publications available for subscription here, the Daily Sun and village news are polar opposites. The Sun is all rainbows and unicorns, while village news is drunk Villagers and petty drug busts interspersed with a "domestic" here and there. |
the villages dash news is, mostly, a parrot of police blotter activity.

All they do is turn police reports into click-bait "articles."

The letters to the editor are beyond bizarre and incoherent

I enjoy viewing the mug shots in TVN, especially those of the meth heads with missing teeth and sores on their faces.

From what I understand they 'give' out their newspaper for a while trying to get you hooked. They'll stop after a while and expect you to pay. I was the opposite of you and had to request them to stop giving me the free paper. But that applied to paper version, not sure about the "online" one.

I still get it for free.....refuse to pay for it. Go to Villages-net.com and put it in your favorites ( bookmark it)

I have always paid for it. I think $20 a year. It is cheap entertainment plus you get the other side of what is going on around here.

Any suggestions how to get it from cluttering my Inbox? I did try putting it into my Spam folder for a while, which the software seemed to 'learn,' but that lasted only a few months. At this point the simplest worthwhile approach is the delete keystroke. |

Was never aware there is a printed version. Enjoy reading a different perspective (than the Daily Sun) regarding local politics and summaries of town/county meetings. I suspect the truth lies somewhere between the two?
|
It's easily available as their Twitter feed, @Villages_News, just add that to your Twitter list and you can always see the latest stories. You can also just search Google with that address...
