I saw it with a few fellow U of Denver Library Graduate Program students in 1983 or 1984 at one of the late night showings.

I'll watch anything with Susan Sarandon in it.

I saw a screening of it a few years ago with Barry Bostwick. It's fun, he comes out after the show, and tells behind the scenes stories, and answers questions. Did something similar a few months ago with Wrath of Khan, and William Shatner. (Both good story tellers.)

I went to midnight showings (a few decades ago)

Trivia “ Some things are constants in a chaotic world: Death, taxes and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” which has played at Portland’s Clinton Street Theater every Saturday night for 43 years.”

Now that is a long time.

And something you might expect for Portland, Oregon. The Clinton Street Theater

Live or Movie?

Are you talking about the movie or a live performance. I saw it live on Broadway before I saw the movie. They pulled all the seats out of the theatre, and you watched it cabaret style.

Sounds like something going on in a mental institution!:22yikes:

“Let’s have a toast”…

The only movie I walked out on

A work mate suggested I go see it without preparing me for what was going to happen. I disliked it immensely and we walked out, as the audience, half of them dressed in drag, were throwing rice and shouting. No thx. . .

Then I wouldn’t suggest “The Big Lebowski”
Comedy/Crime ‧

I worked at the popcorn stand at the Exeter Street Theatre in Boston, when they had the film/stage duo performances of RHPC every Friday night. It was SO much fun, and the ensemble were made up of warm, lovely folks who were naturally clever. A bunch were over-the-top drama but most of them were pretty down to earth when the makeup and wigs came off.

I went to see this at Roxbury N.J. movie theater. There was a shooting either at this theater or somewhere else in N.J. and as much as a goofball as I was from drinking I didn't get high like the majority of the others in attendance and those who waited in the parking lot to prey on those who were impaired. It was the beginning of me being very aware of the exits and such at any theater I ever went to from that day forward. I usually only go to blockbuster movies or sometimes wait for them to be released another way.

I do remember having fun seeing this movie. I was almost out of high school. Would I enjoy it now? I don't think so. Would I dress up. Not a chance.

I saw the original Rocky Horror film in a Rochester, NY movie theater during a high school band trip in the early 80's. I remember a huge crowd in a decadent atmosphere, rice and toast thrown everywhere while locals dressed in full costume acted-out the entire film real time in the front row. It was a fun experience for this once-young lad.

Sorry to hear that Nucky.

I recall going to a Clint Eastwood movie Magnum Force - Wikipedia in Reno, Nevada in 1973 and while we were waiting for the previews there was a guy rather far from us letting out extremely loud farts. Fortunately the smell did not reach us. And he stopped when more people came into the theater.

We had been dropped off by the uncle of the boy I had gone to the show with then. And, he had bought the tickets to the R rated movie but then had not used his. So, we kind of had to stay there.
