Favorite Bruce Springsteen song?
Bruce Springsteen
Recall seeing a movie he made presenting his music that way instead of touring. This was at the Rialto but only remember a few people there when I saw it. Bruce Springsteen - Wikipedia 100 Best Bruce Springsteen Songs, Ranked - Parade: Entertainment, Recipes, Health, Life, Holidays |
Can stand him or his music? It's just noise!
|
There was a British movie about a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen. Kind of funny. Most of the other people in the movie did not understand the character's love of Springsteen's music.

Pink Cadillac & Cadillac Ranch. :pepper2:

Never heard of him. Who is he? A former Beetle, Rolling Stone or Jefferson Airplane?

I recall seeing this movie at the Old Mill Playhouse. |

Jersey Girl.
It's a song about a cow I think. |
also like Because the Night, but prefer the patti smith version
|
Never was a big fan. But I do like "Tunnel of Love".
|
yeah, i'm not a fan either, but am very familiar with him. some of his songs are ok, but i think he's a better songwriter than singer/performer. the songs i listed i do like, but am not a REAL fan

Yupper, he went political at a concert I was dragged to. Tried to just be cool and hang in there till the end. He wasn’t singing that night he was screeching!
A real disappointment all the way around. Just like a sports figure, entertain me cause I don’t care what you think about anything this clown should practice his singing. |

I only bought a few of Bruce Springsteen's CDs or earlier 8-tracks over the past 50 years or so. |
I was a BIG fan when he was just a bar band promoting his first album "Greetings From Asbury Park". I use to see his "E Street" band up close and personal play at the local bars in Boston around 1972 and 1973. But his fan base quickly grew and he started playing at much bigger venues and for me Bruce gradually faded away in the distance among the masses.

"Growin' Up"...
And to those who just seem unable to control themselves, do you really think your comments matter in this thread? If you cannot separate a singer from their personal views, you must have a very limited list of "approved artists"... |
Point blank-Racing in the Streets-Jungleland-Backstreets-All That Heaven Will Allow
….in no particular order. (Sorry, it’s impossible for this lifelong fan to pick just one!!) |
Nice guy. Hangs around Asbury Park and Point Pleasant
|
"Thunder Road" is a personal fave.
But I really like the one he wrote where he apologizes for using tax loopholes on his "farm" in NJ to avoid paying huge property tax bills that he advocates for everyone else. I think it was a duet with Jon Bon Jovi. Yeah, I've never heard it either. |
