Looking for ideas.

So, during these events held in the Rec Center, where we sit at tables with other; The suggestion is to bring shareable "Snacks". Anyone have any suggestions?

Humus, sliced cheese

Chex mix, m&ms, crackers.

I like the jerky at the farmer's market so that could work.

Stu from NYC 10-05-2022 02:37 PM

Mozzarella sticks, meatballs

I always bring a covered dish. When people find out it's empty, I tell them it was broiled lobster, but it went really fast.

Also, you can't go wrong with chicken wings from Publix, or chicken strips from PDQ.

Buy individual snack bags, like for kids lunches. Everyone get their own snack, that they like, and nobody reaches in a open bowl

I like this idea - no one putting their hands in a shared bowl.

Cheetos

popcorn, trail mix, chips, any snack will do. Not a covered dish..too messy ( plates, napkins, utensils needed) and needs to be heated/reheated

I usually bring something I would like to eat! It could be a dessert or an appetizer. Could be chips/dip. Also bring your own drinks.

Wait a minute, you have a PhD and you need suggestions on what snacks to bring to a rec center?

We have two PhD’s. In weak moments “piled high and deep” has been used by our other kids who have MD’s.. we stay out of it the name calling, give them new nerf guns to shoot each other at Christmas. Same as “ I went to a better college than you”, and our football/ basketball team is better than yours. Good thing they all live in different states
