fdpaq0580 10-14-2022 10:30 AM

I'm confused. Never heard of those hockey teams.
😯
You did mention Tampa Bay âš¡

Garywt 10-14-2022 10:50 AM

Bring them both. Depending on what bar you end up in is the short you wear.

Fair weather fan. There can be only one.

laboutj 10-14-2022 01:07 PM

I thought the big decision would be which route to take? Came down a few weeks ago and did 95 the whole way except for 295 around DC. No issues whatsoever.

We have driven it enough to understand the traffic patterns, times of day, days of week, etc. This time though there are deadlines so its more of a straight shot, pushing as far as possible on Saturday. though I do find the Delaware drive for so little distance difference to be faster and more relaxing as far as traffic potential interruptions go. .

How much is the Delaware ripoff on I 95 these days?

laboutj 10-14-2022 10:37 PM

Over $40 in tolls on the way down

LucyP 10-15-2022 06:00 AM

One wear Bucs and 1 wear Patriots

Go Pats! Always root for the Pats; always root for Tom, except when they play the Pats.

Flyers999 10-15-2022 07:28 AM

You'll see more Bucs games on free tv than you will Patriots down here. This Sunday there's Bucs vs. Steelers on CBS and Jacksonville vs. Colts on FOX. Of course there's always the sellout/blackout rules.
Since I don't have Direct TV, to see my Eagles I have to settle for Thursday/Sunday/ Monday night games, if there are no FL teams involved.

There are ways to stream your games for free.

Ditto. Have a home in NE and one here.

We stopped taking i95 from the north 2 years ago. We pick up i84 in Ct. then i81, i77, i26 to i95 to Fl. Yup it’s about 125 miles longer less stress and 1 toll.

Heytubes 10-15-2022 07:47 AM

GATORS SHIRT! SEC rules in the south.

Regorp 10-15-2022 08:10 AM

Great route, only toll is crossing the Hudson River on 84. We take the same route except we go a short way on the Mass Pike west to 87 south to 84 in NY. Only tolls are Mass Pike and 87 (we cross the Hudson on the Pike and hit 84 west of the Hudson). Made the drive three weeks ago and only traffic was a 15 minute slow down on 81 a little south of Scranton and another short slow down on 95 in South Carolina. Total miles 1,365 in two days, halfway stopping point around Christiansburg, VA. We got the drive totally down, all food (and thermoses with coffee) packed with everything we need for the entire ride. Only short stops for gas, restrooms, and a walk about to stretch the legs. My wife picks out great books on CD’s to listen to which makes the ride go by much faster.

Deden 10-15-2022 08:57 AM

I do the opposite when home in Boston in summer I wear my Tampa bay baseball , football and lightening hats and here I wear my Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox , having had a home somewhere in Florida even if I wasn’t here since 1989 ,I consider Boston and Tampa 1a and 1b , but my unconditional love will always be the Red Sox who also gave me my first job , selling peanuts , score cards , candy and gum , I shouted that out so many times I’ll probably will be saying that lying on my death bed

Coach K no idea where you are now but think how much you can save by going back home and taking the other route with almost no tolls.:posting:

Pats vs Bucs?

Being from Massachusetts, I’m first and foremost a Pats fan. I think Tom is definitely the GOAT, but it’s getting time
for him to hang up his cleats before he gets hurt. Sounds like his desire to keep playing has already cost him his marriage and that’s a sad thing.

We don’t know, what we don’t know ,, so as far as I’m concerned and I can’t speak for others , it’s none of my business

CoachKandSportsguy 10-15-2022 11:37 AM

Have done all the routes mentioned in almost all the NE to TV discussions. At $5.5 / gal and 20 mpg, that extra 120 miles = $37.50 in fuel, and 2 hrs. Have to work all week starting Monday 8:00 AM, so no go there.

Zero traffic now on the Delmarva peninsula, CBB in 10 minutes!

Too bad the Bulldogs spank their butts every year... (ducking for cover :a20:)

(My daughter went to UGA, and I now have a vested interest in the team...)
