I cannot answer the poll because whether or not I went on TV would entirely depend on the terms of the appearance. I definitely wouldn't appear in a commercial for free.

I have a feeling that the people that go on TV for Dan & The Morgan's are being compensated in some way. So yes, I would do it.

Wife and I have been retired 27 years this Christmas.
For a $1 million top up to get us through next 27 years, ( be a 110 yo then ) I would also sing and dance for them!

If it before his cut, then the commercials are deceptive. But, in the ads, Dan says that he gets the money from an insurance company. If so, the total settlement would need to be about $2 million to allow the client to receive a $1 million payout. That means that the insured driver would need to have that much in liability coverage. Very few insured drivers have that much liability coverage, except for large companies and wealthy people. Most auto insurance companies won't even sell you a two million dollar liability policy, unless you buy an umbrella policy. Last year, I got an insurance quote from Geico, and the highest liability coverage they would offer was $250K. So, I am skeptical of the claims made in the commercials.

I'm old enough to remember a time when doctors and lawyers couldn't advertise in the main stream. It was unethical. I liked it better that way. As for "Dan got me" endorsement-type ads, I'd like to hear their backstories. Come on! A million? You look pretty healthy to me. Shouldn't you be in a wheelchair or missing a limb? :$:

I've wondered the same thing about all those "testimonies". You do know those folks are reading what they're saying, don't you?? Fake smiles by some as well. I'd bet there are plenty of stories of folks who would complain about how they weren't compensated well. Dan and the Morgan-guy----I wouldn't trust! Oh and I heard that Morgan was alledgedly an alcoholic.

I am so sick of the spam commercials on the radio .....especially Newlin. The commercials should be "Need a check? Cause a wreck" Call Spam Newlin. Three out of four liars agree....most accident liars are just jacking up everybody's insurance rates... This fact is based on actual scientific data....

These knuckleheads, who are laughing all the way to the bank by the way, sound exactly like the Los Angeles area guy, Larry H. Parker, whose "Larry H. I personally would much rather see lawyers and doctors advertising, than the bombardment of 'ED' services/products on television AND radio (often during prime time). Recognizing that the average 8 year old can find anything on the internet these days anyway, I still believe it is woefully inappropriate that these kinds of things are advertised on television and radio. As for the ambulance chaser ads, I'm sure the amount is prior to the standard 30%-50% cut. If the firm wanted to pay me, or reduce their cut, I would probably be willing to do an advertisement.

Everyone knows that whatever number the clients claim to have received is not what they actually get after the ambulance chasers take their very, very healthy cut upwards of 40-60 per cent and is what we've experienced. It's "free" representation unless they win, which, as they also say rarely goes to trial, meaning it's a fairly quick settlement between the lawyers and the offender's insurance or yours if they're not insured. Then you get to look forward to higher rates on your insurance premiums too! Sounds great, huh! And yes, those going on commercials are compensated for their stories, but it's no where near what the lawyers were paid to "represent" you in the first place. Granted everyone needs to be paid for their work, but shouldn't the victims receive more like 90% of what they "win"? Even realtors only get 5%-7% just for selling homes, so how does 40-60% even sound equitable? And my final answer is I would only go on the commercial for 1M if that was what I actually received after my case was closed!

I saw in last years Daily Sun listing of delinquent property taxes the name of MORGAN & MORGAN. If he can't keep his property taxes paid what kind of lawyer is he?? I know, he probably blames on book keepers, but he has people also investigating all accidents. Are they as incompetent also???
