Hole In One Plaque

Does anyone have any information on where around the Villages is there a store that you can purchase a Hole In One plaque and who can also engrave. Thank you

:)

Amazon or call a Pro Shop at one of the C.C.s or a golf store and ask.

Call the companies who's ball & clubs were used. They will usually send you a Hole in One plaque. Also, I'm sure all the Championship Clubs have a vendor that will supply them.

In many states, the local PGA Association also gives out free plaques, but I don't know if Florida is one of them. You can check on their website.

I have a few and in each case, I got free plaques from Callaway (used their balls), the Golf course (I paid) and from my State PGA (free from the MA PGA).

Holes in one are vastly over rated, even my wife has had one!
Just to be different, I have studiously avoided having one.
I always manage to stop the ball within 3-6 inches from the hole! :icon_wink::cus:

Thank you for the responses.

I hope that one day I will have need of this information.

The Clubhouses have a nice selection of plaques to chose from. I personally like the one that has a picture of the hole and you can mount the ball. They also send out for the engraving.

I've had four holes-in-one during my last 60 years of mostly pitiful golf. Two of them were in The Villages and were so noted by a certificate and my name in the Sun newspaper. However, depending on what ball you used to hole the shot you might be able to check their website and discover they too will award you with an award of recognition. Two examples as follows:

Titleist will send you an engraved medal with a strap to hang on your golf bag. Your name is engraved on the reverse side of the medal.

Callaway will award you with a plaque with your name, the date of the hole-in-one, and the golf course where it took place. The plaque is pretty darn spiffy!

I'm with you, Two Bills. It is quite the skill that we possess to avoid the dreaded H-I-O. I am known as the 'Best Golfer without a Hole-In-One" at my NH course. hahaha:1rotfl:

I have to agree that a hole in one is vastly over-rated. I believe it is far more related to luck than skill. I remember one year, on our yearly vacation to Myrtle Beach, my husband came home from a game, so angry.... he got paired with an older couple, wife was a true novice.... skulled the ball off the tee box and it rolled all the way onto the green and into the hole. A hole in one recorded and it never even got off the ground. My husband, a single digit handicapper who has never had one was livid. To make matters worse, a few years later I had taken up golf. We retired to TV and I had one on Hacienda... of course, a short par 3, and when asked what club I used, I stupidly admitted to a 5 wood and was about laughed off the world. I was embarrassed to death. Would never have admitted to another if it had happened. People can be cruel. Just as most male, low handicapped, golfers don't believe in a hole in one on Executive courses.... I hear them ridicule them all the time.

Does miniature golf count?

asianthree 11-06-2022 07:43 AM

Nothing worse than playing in a foursome, and at sunset, so bright no one had a clue where tee shots went. We looked for 2 minutes for stupid ball, before realizing it was in the hole, by the first to putt.
No reward, getting to watch it drop in, celebrating was lackluster :sigh:
