Costco Delivery

Haven't heard any news on Costco coming to the Villages SOON. Have you ordered anything on Costco.com and had it delivered to TV? Just wondered how your experience has been?

Yes, about 2 months ago we had a washer and dryer delivered. Also had another delivery with large screen TV. No problems as all

Ecuadog 11-04-2022 05:25 PM

Two years ago, we had a washer and dryer delivered. No problems.

laryb 11-04-2022 05:32 PM

Had a large OLED tv set delivered this past Tuesday. Was informed of every move by the delivery people, and was delivered exactly on time. They put in the room of my choice, and couldn't have been more friendly

billethkid 11-04-2022 05:35 PM

We get an order shipped about every 4-6 weeks.
Zero problems/issues.

I've used costco.com quite a few times with no problem

Prpcmom 11-05-2022 05:54 AM

The only problem I’ve had was with liquid laundry detergent. The box was too big and inadequately filled with packing material. The jug cracked and a lot of the product spilled. I called and they sent a replacement. They charged me for both. When I called again because the second shipment had the same problem and asked why I was charged for two, they said I needed to return the first jug. I explained both boxes were destroyed by the spilled product and if they would send a new box, I would happily return the jugs. They declined and reversed the charges for both, even though I explained that between the two shipments, I probably had one jug worth of detergent and would pay for one. I’ve never ordered liquids again.

I tried ordering a product that was a “2-day shipment” product once. They charged extra and the product would AFTER other things I ordered that didn’t have that designation so I cancelled that part of the order.

Everything I’ve ordered arrived when they said it would. I never had any problems with any of the other orders.

Miboater 11-05-2022 06:20 AM

I've ordered quite a few things from Costco and never had an issue. Two tv's, bar stools, washer and dryer, patio dining set and my lanai deep seating set. Everything came on time and in perfect condition.

Bilyclub 11-05-2022 06:27 AM

Yep, everything good from Costco, so far. From big ticket items to little things.

sowilts 11-05-2022 06:35 AM

Had lanai furniture delivered two years ago. Delivered it two streets away. Same house number, 1991, driver signed for it and left five large boxes in our neighbor’s front porch. They were not home at the time. My Grandson and I pushed them up to our house with moving dollies. Called dispatcher in Orlando and he was not happy. Guess Wildwood ran out of house numbers and had to use duplicates. Furniture was fine, just had to find where it was.

maistocars 11-05-2022 07:19 AM

Yes for large items - very good. Small items are significantly higher-priced than in the store so we just go to Wesley Chapel once a month to get what we need.

mazbarth 11-05-2022 07:28 AM

There is a new Costco about to open (if not already) in Clermont, about 40 min down 75.

CindyL 11-05-2022 07:32 AM

Costco delivery

Yes, we ordered a mattress last week and it was delivered on Tuesday.

jaclou 11-05-2022 08:19 AM

As with any mail order service, you have to read the “fine print” for exclusions.

Ordered my husband’s favorite boxers. Best price I found in the web. Got them yesterday evening. They delivered UPS.

We love, love, love Costco! Let me see. . .we’ve ordered 3 large TVs (65” being the largest), a loveseat, recliner, outdoor umbrella, clothes, and food items and have had excellent delivery service and nothing has been damaged. I have a package from Costco waiting in my mailbox right now. Only one thing I had to return and they picked it up fairly promptly and my refund hit my cc before the item was picked up. Personally, I think nothing beats Costco. I wish they were closer to TV so we wouldn’t have to drive to Lutz or Orlando about every 6 weeks. Maybe one day.

will1546 11-05-2022 08:48 AM

Yes it does ship here.

raney3099 11-05-2022 09:02 AM

Had mattresses and box springs delivered. No issues

Ptmckiou 11-05-2022 09:08 AM

We order pantry food and supplies from Costco monthly. It comes UPS.

richdell 11-05-2022 09:32 AM

Computer delivered, no issues.

The Clermont store will be on Route 50 near all the car dealerships. Near the Turnpike, not I-75. Won't be open til next year sometime.

lawgolfer 11-05-2022 10:51 AM

We've ordered many things, from dried fruit to mattresses. Delivery is fine, although not as fast as Amazon Prime. The largest purchase was an 85" TV. Delivery was easy; however, you have to make a choice of where you want such a large item delivered--at the front door or inside in a particular room, and do you want it unboxed and the packaging taken away? The cost will vary with your choice.

Villages Kahuna 11-05-2022 11:44 AM

There have been rumors of Costco coming to The Villages for at least ten years. Please don’t hold your breath. It’s bad for your health.

Dlbonivich 11-05-2022 04:32 PM

Costco

Just ordered the new Lov Sac Sactional delivered in 5 days (promise was 3 weeks). Love it! I use their vacation packages at least twice a year. Great deals.

You won't hear the news for at least 3 years, this area doesn't have the demographics they are looking for. As of May they had absolutely no interest nor any want to look any further into this area.

Weiserj 11-05-2022 10:48 PM

Yep, all the time. Little more money for things in warehouse, but there are other items you can only get via delivery. Gas money to drive r/t is probably a savings to have delivery. I get cold/frozen things as well. They place my order in my porch. Love it!

Jamesn123 11-05-2022 10:51 PM

Costco delivery

Yes. Bought a washer and dryer from them. They delivered. Prior, bought coffee and personal care products that were delivered.

Barbscats 11-06-2022 06:17 AM

Costco has no plans of opening in TV but will be opening on Rt 50 in Clermont soon.

Apparently, "soon" will be no sooner than April of next year or maybe later. The Clermont store is still not listed on their future store list that currently lists other stores that will open as late as March 2023.

Bacimom 11-06-2022 07:46 AM

Excellent delivery service

We have also ordered a lot from Costco. Terrific delivery especially on large items ie our sectional sofa, washer & dryer (for two homes) lamps, etc.
Important to know us that Costco has a ‘concierge’ service for electronics and appliances. We had an issue with our new LG washer. I called Costco’s concierge number on a Friday afternoon. They took down all the info, contacted LG and scheduled the appointment for me for Monday morning! They were delightful to work with and incredibly quick in their response. We ordered that LG set during the supply chain crisis and Costco delivered it within a week, for $400 less than any other store that was out of stock.

Last time I checked, they haven't had a ground breaking ceremony yet, so soon is not that soon.

Costco doesn't have their own delivery system like Amazon does, but my experience with their third-party delivery company on my 65" OLED TV was basically the same as laryb's.

FredJacobs 11-06-2022 09:09 AM

Why would you think that there may be a problem with deliveries from Costco? Did you think that Costco might be banned from TV? Back where you grew up, your neighborhood store has the right to ban anyone they wish from entering their store. I can only recall one incidence where a city banned a company from doing business there - New York City banned WalMart because WalMart would not discontinue the sale of guns at the location and refused to consider unionization. Eventually, the two sides agreed to discontinue gun sales and union labor to erect the store. WalMart, continued to refuse unionization of its employees. To this date, the WalMart location was never built.

About 6 or 8 years ago, there was a rumor that Costco and Macy's were going to anchor a mall at the location now occupied by the Brownwood Hotel and the Brownwood Medical center. Those enterprises probably entered into negotiations with the Developer and refused when heard terms. The Developer charges "rent" as a percentage of the store's volume - not sure if it is gross or net. Costco, like Sam's, BJ's, et al, operate on a very slim mark-up, usually 10%. Because of the small mark-up, they cannot afford to give up any percentage and is the reason they fight against unionization.

MAITAIMIKE 11-06-2022 09:58 AM

Yes, I get my computers on Costco.com . Good Prices and exended warranty. Also on my last new car (2021 GMC) I saved $1,000 being a Costco member. Car rental is good through Costco.

jalswager 11-06-2022 10:45 AM

Leather recliner

I purchased a recliner and area rug. Recliner was brought in and assembled in no time. Very happy.

NewRealms 11-06-2022 11:36 AM

Costco is building in Clermont. Don't count on them coming to The Villages until summer traffic is like the height of season.

golfnut 11-12-2022 05:13 PM

Why would you expect to have problems with costco.com order delivery

Michael 61 11-12-2022 06:19 PM

Looking forward to the new Clermont location!
