"One Hundred Years is Nothing" Yellowstone, Season 5, Episode 1.
Love the title of the first episode of the Fifth Season of Yellowstone. The title is -- "One Hundred Years is Nothing".
I have watched the first two episodes. This should get very interesting. |

Still The Same Problem
The underlying theme of Yellowstone—a landowner trying to protect his land from the incursion of developers—still exists in the west.
I was talking to a friend yesterday who grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She said that the changes in her hometown are sad, that the billionaires are now buying out the millionaires. She said there is no way she could ever afford to live there anymore. |

Is starting with season 5…not having watched Yellowstone at all…a viable option?

I lived and worked in Montana for 27 years. I worked with a lot of ranchers and lived on one for a while. The Yellowstone series takes me back to those days and I know much of the scenery having been in the forestry business there. They certainly don’t take kindly to outsiders coming in and trying to change their western way of life. The series is a pretty accurate depiction of the struggle between ranchers, wildlife, native tribes, environmentalists/preservationists, politicians and non-residents. |
