Golf Lessons

I am looking to get golf lessons for my wife for a Christmas present. We are located in DeLuna and would like to find something down this way. If anyone knows of someone please let me know.

Thank You

Here is a link to The Villages Golf Academy, where you can schedule lessons or buy packages.

Technically, I don't think that private individuals, not associated with The Villages, are allowed to give paid lessons on Villages property.

Don't forget the important lesson on golf - address the ball.

Hello ball !!

He’s not near you, but I recommend Billy Speckman. Billy is with Oxford behind Walmart on 466.

Continental Country Club

[Continental has great instructors and a driving range and putting area. Very close to new villages as it is near 44 and warm springs

My wife and I are currently taking lessons from Stephen Wresh, Director of Instruction at Continental Country Club. He is excellent. You can pick up a brochure at Continental Country Club just off Hwy. 44 between Buena Vista and Morse Blvd. It contains the golf instruction rates and packages. Cell phone # for Steve 352-748-3293.

Golf instruction

Sabrie Booth at Del Webb's Spruce Creek is a terrific instructor for beginning women golfers. Keeps it simple and gives good starting fundamentals. Highly recommend.

Oxford Golf Academy!

We love Oxford Golf Academy... They are so nice and have 7 Pros that give lessons in a shaded area.

They also have 18 Grass areas and 10 of these new Powertees that tee up the ball for you. No bending down anymore. Just keep your position and swing away.

They are behind the Super Walmart on 466.

Here is their website. Oxford Golf Academy | Driving Range | Golf Lessons
Also, their Facebook page Oxford Golf Academy | Facebook

Personally, I would make sure that whoever gives her a lesson, the pro can have her hit off of grass. Much easier to hit off of a mat and hitting off mats gives a person a false sense of secuirty. Can never hit a fat shot off of a mat.

As a woman, I wanted a woman golf instructor. Sandy Thomas was recommended to me. She gives lessons at the Race Track Driving Range on Race Track Road. I was very pleased with the results and the price was reasonable. If your interested and need further info, private message me on facebook under Bonnie Kirk Mellendorf. She is a former LPGA player.

Another vote for Sandra!

Can’t be more than a 10 minute car drive from DeLuna. Plus one can get a good lunch at the Continental afterwards!

I've lived in The Villages for 22 years playing golf and taking many lessons. I found that Sandra Chester, 352-751-5122, is hands down the best teacher here. She now gives lessons at Continental Country Club which is one mile north of Morse Blvd on hwy 44 and very close to you in the southern part of The Villages.

NavyBoy 12-02-2022 08:19 AM

Contact "pervus" riley at 215-530-8124 and tell him "bob" told you to call. You have to get lessons off of property.

retiredguy123 12-02-2022 08:26 AM

I'm surprised that most posters are recommending taking lessons outside of The Villages. Doesn't The Villages have any good golf instructors?

I took lessons at Sarasota 4 years ago. I would recommend.
