Dog poop??? Put it in a bag and just drop it...

in the gutter. There are a few seen in the summer, but this time of year till spring some folks seem to think they've done their due diligence bagging it and dropping it. As though the villages actually hire people to go around and pick up their dogs doody.

C'mon you lazy turds. You've got the dog, but don't want the hassle. Now everyone else has to be reminded of your inability to care. Please tote it home and dispose of it in your garbage. Thanks.

Although I agree this is a result of lazy and inconsiderate people, it’s not a snowbird thing. This happens year round, you just see it more now because there are more people, just like you see more of just about everything.

Yup! 50% more people = 50% more (insert behavior you hate here)...

VApeople 12-12-2022 10:11 PM

No, you should not just drop the bag of crap on the trail.

You should put the bag on one of the benches alongside the walking path. At least that is what I have seen several times at Hogeye.

Shame the bag wasn't found on a roundabout though!

asianthree 12-13-2022 06:24 AM

We have 13 new dogs this week visiting our corner, nobody is depositing bags in the gutters. Because they aren’t carrying one, :( The 17 full time dog owners that walk past our house are disappointed with lack of pick up. One even commented on not letting their dog on certain lawns because of too much dog crap to walk in. Now that’s funny, right:1rotfl:

airdote22 12-13-2022 06:46 AM

If you know whom is guilty it should be thrown at their front door.

A neighbor reminded me to make sure that the lawn folks put a warning notice on my lawn when they sprayed so that she wouldn't let her dog use my yard. Now, I leave the little sign up for a week or so......just to make sure her dog doesn't get sick from the chemicals..........:a20:

GpaVader 12-13-2022 07:38 AM

I always thought you were supposed to put it up in front of the front door and light it on fire, then ring the bell and leave.

Kelevision 12-13-2022 07:39 AM

As a dog owner who walks my dogs. I’ve never understood people who don’t bag it and take it home to dispose of it. It’s dog owners 101.

As a FORMER dog owner, I never allowed my dog on anyone one else's property. Then again, I never peed in a public swimming pool either.

My Hero! Many thanks for being a good dog owner. If only others had the same respect for their neighbors.

My hero as well, but for the other reason.

Same here, and if I find someone else's bag during the wall, I take that home also.

Yay! Dog poo thread! Must be advertising rate time of the month. :D Just yesterday ~9:30AM while walking down O'Dell past Mallory pool/mail center saw a woman walking her 2 dogs drop 3 bags of (as someone recently said on TV) poo-poo in the grass by the parking lot along O'Dell. She must have fed them Metamucil for breakfast. She (thought she) was being inconspicuous looking straight ahead with her arm at her side then "eject." We both stared at her and she never flinched, just kept walking out of the parking lot.

You assume they care, you assume they read this, you assume they can read. Nice try but probably like talking to the wall.

I drop the bagged dog poop in the gutter because I don't want to carry it for the entire walk. We will be doubling back past that same gutter, and I pick it up on the way back. I'm sure that's what most people who drop it are doing.

What if a bicyclist hits the poop ? Most have no fenders.

At least we don't live in San Francisco and have to deal with human feces.

Often times people who are out for a long walk with their dog and don’t want to carry the bag for an hour will drop it beside the trail, etc. and pick it up when they come back around. I don’t think that many people would take the time to bag it up just to leave the bag.

Your right, perhaps it should be left at a stop sign instead of in a road gutter. Dam, there I go cross threading again.

You know TV is getting bigger by week & I guess all the nice people or the ones that do what they’re told to do already found a permanent residents now, TV are getting the ones that’s been thrown out of their other residence else where & made camp there in TV. Don’t know what else it could be! Complaining doesn’t look like the solution.

itsaly 12-14-2022 10:35 AM

I don't let my dog walk in people's yards. If I'm taking my dog for a long walk I will sometimes put the bag out of the way next to a light pole, road sign pole or fire hydrant and pick it up again on my way back by.

Chi-Town 12-14-2022 11:00 AM

Do it the right way. Take your dog to the postal station, bag it, and drop it in the can next to the mail slots. Works best on a hot day.

Solution. You cannot train people. It is interesting that the dogs instinct is not to go where it lives. Buy hot pepper and put it where the dog goes It will not hurt the dog. The dog will train the owner that it does not like your place.

Perhaps, a solution to a person who leaves dog poop on your property is to follow them home drop your pants and leave them a pile. No need for a bag. Be sure to bring toilet paper and leave that as well.

Most people are decent. Most people are not perfect. We have decided to live in a fairly congested location. That like everything else has plusses and minuses.

I have a friend, former business associate, who purchased 180 acres with his brother in the backwoods of North Carolina-an option.

Before moving to the villages I became aware of an island for sale. It was 7-8 acres a nice house a small herd of wild horses. Could set up my own kingdom. I could be KING of my island. Go figure the QUEEN vetoed it.

Sorry, I don’t buy this. Some of the bags I’ve seen were there overnight. Carry the dang thing, it’s your dog’s crap.
