Cars and Coffee?
 

Just wondering if there is a local C&C anywhere close by? I just read about one in Gainesville but would rather drive less, I try to stay off of the interstate. Thanks

would like to see one south of 44. Fenney rec center/grill has space but would need to be cleared by the villages first.

I belong to the BMW club, and I know that there is a Corvette and Porsche club. I would think that there would be enough interest. Just need someone to organize. Not me, too many years involved in the past. The venue would need to be able to offer coffee and donuts.

Not sure of what a cars and coffee club is, but there are at least a dozen car clubs in the villages, I have been a member of 3 at different times, the corvette club, the vintage auto club, and the mustang club. I do not drink coffee, so not coffee club (big grin).

It's not a club. It's a gathering of car enthusiasts that stand around, drink coffee if they want, and talk about cars. They are open to anyone that has a special car, exotics, sports, hot rods, ETS. Some guys just go to show off their cars. It can be very good for the owner of the venue. They have been around for several years. It is really big in some areas. Most car guys know what it is.

OK, we called these cruise nites, I have not seen any except for the cruise nites in the village square. IMHO, you would need a suitable parking area (display cars and visitors), and a host (restaurant) to agree to the use of the facilities. We had something like this for ToTV get togethers but a change in ownership of the restaurant killed it. Hope others can provide more insight.

I didn’t mention that they take place in the morning, Saturday or Sunday. That’s why the coffee.

Right, often in shopping center parking lots before the stores open. Lake Sumter could be a nice location.

The car clubs have a meet at Brownwood this weekend.

Any resident can establish a club and have access to rec centers. Everglades could work since there is a large parking area and there are several options for coffee at Magnolia Plaza.

Last Sat. of each month in the parking lot behind Fidelity Investments, in Lake Sumter Landing. Near the Sales Center and Panera. Happens from 9 to 10 AM each month. It has been going on the last 4 years.

There is a Cars and Coffee get together the last Saturday of every month in Lake Sumter Landing in the parking lot behind Panera Bread. You can just show up.

If you want the real deal, go to 1 of the Caffeine and Octane events in the south. Atlanta has the biggest in the nation once a month, Jacksonville has some, jeckyll island has some, and they are televised each week on tv. These are big groupings of 300 or more cars. Check them out online. I also used to belong to a Porsche Club where we would meet at local races, track days, car corrals at the races, go kart racing events, weekend get togethers, etc…
Here is a joke about Porsche owners: what’s the difference between a Porsche and a porcupine? The porcupine has its pricks on the outside!

Not exactly what you're looking for, but if you don't mind taking a little trip down to Old Town in Kissimmee, you will find the weekly Saturday Classic Car Show & Cruise. They also a have Wednesday Themed Car Show and a Friday Muscle Car Show & Cruise.
