A loufa on the antenna may help :loco:

The police officer told him that it happens a lot in Spanish Springs....I guess there are two parking lots that look very similar.

I was going to say that I had a number of Subarus for years, I always thought I could leave the car running in a high crime area and nobody would want it. Not that they aren't good cars, just not high on the stolen car list.
Many years ago my mother went to the mall and couldn't find her car (she thought it was stolen). Before they called the police they drove her around to look for it. They found it. |
Throw an Airtag in the car. We don't need more loofahs.
Also if you have an iPhone and Carplay when you disconnect from the car the Apple Maps will record where you were. Don't feel bad I misplaced my golf cart because of 2 for 1. lol. |

Please tell your husband not to feel like The Lone Ranger.
A friend of mine could not find her car in a parking garage. After about an hour of looking, going from floor to floor, she started crying……. A parking lot attendant came by in a golf cart and tried to rescue her. They drove allllll around the garage….. Finally, she quietly said to him, “I am so sorry. I just realized that I am in the wrong parking garage.” (We were still in our 30s at the time, so don’t let anybody tell you it’s an age thing.) Glad you found the car. :) Boomer |
My wife called me and she was hysterical. Our 24 hour old loaded Mini Cooper was stolen from Menlo Park Mall in NJ. I cruised to the store and found my wife and M.I.L. Sitting on the curb crying their eyes out. Turns out they came out on the wrong side of Nordstrom’s. I found the car in less than five minutes. I placed no blame whatsoever because I can see the future and know one day that it’s going to be my turn in the barrel.
Glad things worked out for the OP and happy that you came back to report that it did have a happy ending!!!!! |

Years ago...maybe early 90's, an acquaintance and I went to a concert up north. The event was in a very large, round collisium. When we came out, early actually to beat the crowd/traffic---we couldn't find my car. Back then I don't know if there was a sensor that I could click on so it would beep. Anyway, we searched and searched until the parking lot cleared out. Come to find out, we'd gone in one door and out another---probably on the opposite side of the building. BOY, talk about feeling really sheepish. BUT the upside is---traffic had cleared. I will say too that I'm directionally challenged (admittedly) so now take measures whenever I go out. Living in T.V. can be challenging too if you think about the winding roads and the neighborhoods that weave. It's a "did I turn left or right when I came here?" I probably won't go out much as I age.

Sounds like someone that stole it was someone that’s done it before or you left the keys in it!

---- happens, as Mr Gump sorta stated. Happy endings are good.

Your key has a built in alarm. If you are near enough you can hear the direction to go look for your car.

Years ago there was a man that went to Katie Bell's for lunch. After lunch, he jumped into his golf cart, stopped at his postal station to pick up his mail and went home. When he got out of the cart he saw a jacket in the back basket and realized he had the wrong golf cart. Back then they had universal keys that fit all golf carts. He hurried back to Katie Bell's and parked it where he had originally found it. He got in his golf cart and went home. He was happy that the owner never new what he did. After he was home for awhile, the doorbell rang and his wife answered it. She called out," Harry, do you know how our mail got in this man's glove box of his golf cart?" He didn't want to face the man, so he sneaked out the back door. He laughed about this for years.

Circa 1970 as a first-year college student I went to the Narragansett Bock Beer Festival at the breweries home site. Great time under a tent in March and the Bock Beer tasted mighty fine. When I went to find my 1968 Camaro it was gone.....I knew it wasn't stolen I just couldn't find it called a friend who helped me find it. Eventually, he did.
