Garage door problems
We had a power outage and I had to disconnect the garage door from the power chain in order to manually open the door. I attempted to reconnect the door to the chainwhen power was restored but failed a few times as it wouldnt engage. Now the door is flashing red and green simultaneously. I tried the reset button and the door either flashes red and green simultaneously or alternately blinks red, then green then red etc. Is there a solution to this problem?

I don't know, but Ryan O'Cull, 352-207-5668, or Scott, 352-697-0321 will fix it.
I wouldn't mess with it myself, unless you really know what you are doing. It could be dangerous. Most garage doors have a rope with a red handle to pull to disengage the motor. |
Lever engagement
Run your garage door track all the way up even if the door stays down. Then make sure your handle is in the down engage mode. Then run your track all the way closed. The lever to the T handle rope attachment SHOULD engage. If you have a second door to view, you can see what I mean.

Post or get model number info from metal label on opener unit. Find manual online.

What make of door is it?
I had a Genie door opener and had my up and down adjustment go goofy with those same flashing lights. I called their 800 # and they walked me through it. |

Did you check to make sure the sensors (across the bottom of the door opening) were clear and "looking" at each other? |
hit the button - recycle the door

Very simple fix when you pull the disconnect you will see a lever come down it does not always or even sometimes snap back in place. mess with the rope to pull the lever back to the original position then you just cycle the garage door and it will click in

I had a similar issue. YouTube videos were a waste of time. I ultimately found that there were two levers on top of the opener and (from the back of the opener looking forward) the lever on the right was moved toward the gear. I rotated it toward the door, plugged the opener back in and it worked. But this is dangerous. You have to be on a ladder holding a flashlight and the top of the opener is close to the ceiling making it tough to see. Also, always make sure the opener is disconnected from power before you work on it.

Try resetting the circuit breaker! Flip the breaker to OFF then back to ON. Then see if door opens!

Be sure that nothing is blocking the sensors and be sure that the sensors are properly aligned
