Favorite Morgan Freeman movie?
Along Came a Spider - Rotten Tomatoes
Been watching this 2001 film and thinking of what else I have seen Morgan Freeman in over the years. Do recall that there were very long lines with people getting turned away for the movie Bucket List when they showed it at the Rialto here in the Villages. I had a to wait a few weeks while the crowds dwindled. Morgan Freeman - Rotten Tomatoes The Bucket List - Rotten Tomatoes My favorite Morgan Freeman movie would be Unforgiven - Rotten Tomatoes |
Anything that Mr. Freeman is in, I'm watching. I don't know who he likes, who he supports, or what he's done good or bad. He entertains me and makes one hell of a good president in some movies he's played in. Seem's to be a good egg.
Shawshank was the first time I remember seeing him. Three thumbs up! Good pick Tal, it's about time. LOL |

It would make a difference with the screenwriter, playwright, writer, etc., though. |
Shawshank Redemption and Bruce Almighty. Driving Miss Daisy floats between 1st and 2nd, I can't ever make up my mind if it's my favorite or not.

He was in Outbreak which was filmed in Northern California. Not sure if the Outbreak cast and crew stayed at the Red Lion Inn which was a few hundred feet out our back door just across a golf course green in Rohnert Park, CA. My parents lived there from 1986-1996.
There would often be movie production trailers in the parking lot at the Red Lion Inn. I never ran into anyone while walking the dog who was a known movie star. And if I did run into someone we usually talked about poop. This was about all the duck poop around the greens. |

Morgan Freeman got his start in the 1970's on the children's show "The Electric Company."
I learned to sound out words by listening to his amazing voice. He is still one of my favorite actors! |
If I could change my voice to any actors, it would be a tough choice for me between Morgan Freeman and Richard Burton.
Can listen to either of them speaking for hours. |
Shawshank is by far #1.....Nurse Betty was entertaining.

Just watched Kiss the Girls with Morgan Freeman as Dr. Alex Cross.
He plays the character well and Ashley Judd is quite good as a victim who fights back and helps him with the investigation. Kiss the Girls (1997 film - Wikipedia) |

Tough question! He's good no matter what the movie or the role. My favorite though is The Shawshank Redemption, followed (closely) by Unforgiven, and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
I also admire his versatility. He's an accomplished stage actor as well, and narrates quite a lot of TV stuff. His distinctive voice and impeccable diction lend an aura of gravitas to whatever he does. AND he's one heck of a singer as well. |
