We stayed in one of the Atwood bungalos last month during our lifestyle visit. Very nice house.
|
We did a lifestyle visit in February. Stayed in the Alden Bungalows next to Brownwood. It was a nice 3BR/2BA.
|
Brownwood villas are the accommodation of the moment

We also stayed in a 3/2 in Atwood but I have spoken to a number of people that I've met in Deluna who are staying for their lifestyle in the Christopher villas in Deluna.
|
The lifestyle visits are managed by the in-house villages real estate company.
For the past few years, they have primarily used the Alden bungalows located next to Brownwood paddock Town square. FYI, many, many years ago they used a set of townhouses located on Avenida -Sonoma in Spanish Springs.. Yes, anywhere that you are parked for the lifestyle visit will be a great experience.... The house is typically come fully furnished with a golf cart and bicycles... You will need very little for your stay. |

Second visit was in November, and it was at the Christopher villas in DeLuna. It was newer and had a much nicer Coastal themed decor. Both were 3 br, 2 bth Courtyard villas. The pools for these villas are close (Waterlily Rec center and DeLuna adult pool), but not as convenient. We were told if you’re on a second LSV or more you’re placed in the Christopher villas. These villas are not as quiet because they’re right alongside the turnpike, though indoors you can’t hear it. I have heard recently there’s a LSV unit in Richmond now, but not sure if it’s true. |
I have a friend coming in a few days and they put her in DeLuna. They want you where they are trying to sell new homes so no LSL

3 BR courtyard villa in our experience. Floor plan was a Winslow.

Do they allow a small Dog when you stay in a Lifestyle home?

Stayed in a very nice size 2 bedroom with open style kitchen and family room. Patio with small walled yard. Accommodations were excellent but close to Turnpike so a little noisy. It was on Mash Bend. Had a couple bikes and golf cart.

One piece of free advise. If you decide to live here do not be in a rush to pick a location.
Better to come back like we did for a month and spend a lot of time travelling all around this place before deciding where to put ourselves. Lots of people will come and decide to move again within the villages, which is not a cheap thing to do. |

In my opinion, pick the home you like. I believe people move so often is that they worry about locations and don't realize that interests change as we learn more about the community, but house style and home wish lists don't generally change as much. |

At 5% commission to real estate agent not to mention moving expenses to a second house can be rather expensive. |

I don't recall, type of home. I expect you can tell them what you are interested in. Different stokes for different folks. An island in the kitchen. Some I would not buy a home without an island in the kitchen. MY OPINION it is in the way if you do any serious cooking. Moving is expensive, packing is a pain. My view about most things, if you don't take the time to do it right you will need to have the time to do it again. |

Complaints? There are people who will complain about anything. This place is well planned and well run. Delaying purchasing? I had it all planned. We bought in the villages and then listed our home we were living in for sale. I figured 6 months to sell. It sold in two or three days-as cash deal, full ask price. I had been getting rid of stuff for over a year, garage sales, ebay, trips to the scrap yard and in the home stretch give to neighbors and trips to the dump. I packed the last of it with the crew loading the moving truck. |
I love the villages! I am so glad we moved here. But does anyone think that a house right next to Brownwood is in any way indicative of the lifestyle you will have if you buy a new house from the developer? New homes from the developer are quite a ways away from Brownwood with, in my opinion, a completely different environment as far as restaurants, shopping, entertainement, etc. I do realize that most people are not stupid and can see where the new homes are being developed, but it seems that the "lifestyle experience" could be quite misleading compared to where you would buy from the developer. If it is meant just as equally for the sale of existing homes, then my point is probably not valid.

Lifestyle stay has never been where the new homes are. In a few years Alden will sell and the next Lifestyle homes will probably be near Eastport |
