JOKE! I didn't do this. :-)

I had to share this!
I know I shouldn’t have done this, but I am 83 years old and I was in the McDonald’s drive-through this morning and the young lady behind me leaned on her horn and started mouthing something because I was taking too long to place my order. So when I got to the first window
I paid for her order along with my own. The cashier must have told her what I'd done because as we moved up she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed "Thank you.", obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with kindness.
When I got to the second window I showed them both receipts and took her food too. Now she has to go back to the end of the queue and start all over again,
Don't blow your horn at old people, they have been around a long time.

You must be from Brooklyn! Love it! I would have done something similar

MrFlorida 06-05-2023 06:33 AM

Nice work !

msilagy 06-05-2023 06:40 AM

I don't believe you should be high fived or were right doing this - I wasn't there however and am an older senior, 75, but I honk at slow seniors too sometimes. Maybe she had to get back to work - maybe you took too long to order - there may have been lots of circumstances. The NICE thing for you to have done was to pay for her items and accept the thank you. That might have been a lesson to her. Either way - I don't applaud your actions!

Ponygirl 06-05-2023 06:58 AM

And you are bragging about that disrespectful display.

Hope that’s not what you teach your grandchildren

Labeling something as a joke doesn’t make it funny. Revenge is nothing to laugh at.

Unbelievable.

Marmaduke 06-05-2023 07:53 AM

Laugh, and the world laughs with you!
Cry, and you cry alone.

I laughed out-loud! She probably got 'oatmeal'. That would've made it even funnier! Lighten up and Smile!

Love your JOKE! This made me laugh out loud. No matter what your age honking at someone is unnecessary and certainly doesn’t fix the fact that YOU are late. That’s the lesson here!

LOL, it is a JOKE and has been around forever! And you shouldn't be honking! I have sat at a speaker for several minutes waiting on the employee to take my order. If you don't allow enough time, that would be a you problem.

That was brilliant and I do applaud you. For those of you who think it was wrong maybe you should not blow your horn doesn’t matter what excuse you’re late for work taking too long, etc. you should try some patience. It goes along way your comment about not applauded in my opinion is foolish

FredJacobs 06-05-2023 10:51 AM

Youth has skill and agility, Old people have cunning and treachery.

Pat#79Luv 06-05-2023 11:33 AM

Did you hear about the guy who wanted a priest to say a funeral Mass for his dog. The priest explained that services like that are reserved for people, but that he would say a prayer for the dog and remember him on St Anthony's Feast Day.
The owner of the dog thanked him, saying he was going to go speak with the local rabi and see if he would hold a service for Ol Rex his dog. The priest said that was a good idea and it would not hurt to ask. As the man was leaving he said "Father, one more thing, do you think $200.00 is enough to give the rabi if he holds a service?'.
The priest quickly looked up, grabbed the man leading him back to his office saying "I didn't know your dog was Catholic, let's discuss the service.".

If you're triggered by that silly little joke, you've got bigger problems...

Good grief - this thing has been posted at least a couple of hundred times on FB over the past two years.

Pay attention it was a joke, and it was good.
